That ball was disgusting. It fell perfectly into lacas stride while on the move.

Ake did a great job in disrupting the shot from that position too as the ball was played to ensure it fell to lacas right side while ake was on the left.

Honest to God, I think arsenal fans in general don't realise just how special guendouzi is and we've got him!

Anyone got a gif of that pass?

It was a great ball. When you can pick a pass out like that it's a strikers dream. It makes their work so much easier because they don't have to break stride or adjust their feet to pop the shot off.

It was similar in quality to mkhis run and pass for auba to score.

Most of the hard work was done by mkhi when receiving, turning and holding off 2/3 opposition and pushing forward into midfield. Our other runners spread their defence and auba had space to run into. Him releasing the ball early and into aubas path gave him all the time he needed to deal with the keeper.

It's so weird that we have a striker like auba, but we hardly ever engineer situations like that for him to take...

You’re right. We rarely create these sort of opportunities for our strikers where they get to use their pace. It was a quick transition and right down the middle. Mkhitryan is one of the few players Emery has played for all of our last 4 games. Him and Sokratis.

Was reading Emery’s press conference before the game and kept on emphasising playing with intensity. Mkhi was an example of that yesterday and no surprises that he and Sokratis have kept their starting spots because they came from Dortmund and played under Klopp. He did well to hold off the defenders and produce that pass for Auba.

Look at that. Tracks back to cover the space as we're being countered, recovers the ball, looks for space, looks up and puts a beauty in for Lacazette. Love that sort of play. Shame we couldn't score from that. Those are the sort of chances I love to see even if we don't score.

Hope his progress continues and if he bulks up and gets stronger physically, he could be a real handful.

Ahhhhh young Cesc when he had the mullet. Even Cesc was under appreciated when he first arrived on the scene for his debut season.

Definitely a work in progress for Guendouzi but I really like the way he demands the ball and tries to impose himself on the game. We've really missed that from our CM's.

Guendouzi is literally only missing experience. he doesn't have any flaws that can't be helped with game time

Yeah you can see his inexperience at times and I have no doubt given game time it will improve. Whats most pleasing for me is he can seemingly do everything, he has it all in his locker, I especially like the way he looks to play the ball forward as his first instinct. He needs game time to develop completely and will be a massive asset.

ditto on the fcat that we dont create enough breakaway chances for auba/laca... auba especially can stride away/past a guy who is right next to him and creat enough space for a good shot like 90% of the time... his burst is top notch, we needa use it!

I think that's the first goal from Auba I've seen like that.
