As a fellow CM - CMs tend to do the most running - Its galling when you see your teammates shirk the effort, I've called out players for not putting in the work, absolutely normal in my opinion. You want players who care on the pitch with you.

Depends entirely how you do it.
Obviously Guendouzi does not inspire - he pisses people off instead.

Loan watch...2 goals and assist for Guendouzi yesterday.

If the boy is adding goals to his game he will certainly become an asset.

Lets also not forget how young he is, people have been far too quick to write him off.

I think Guendouzi had a lot of potential, but he was stagnating under Arteta.

He needed a manager who knew how to develop him, Arteta isn’t that guy.

He’ll probably turn into a very decent player under the right management.

Oh I am sure he is absolutely brilliant, just like Willock and anyone else Arteta doesn't pick.
Of course.

Jay this it too much. First Saliba and the golden boy nomination. And now Guendozi and the raining goals. Even you must confess Arteta’s a bad judge of talent.

Another player lost to the Arteta purges of 20/21.

We wasted a full year with useless mids like Ceballos and Willian, both of whom ran for the exits as soon as they could.

For selfish reasons, you have to hope Guendouzi flops if he doesn’t come back to play for us or at least one of our players turns out to be just as good or better.

Luckily, we've only ever had Gnarby slip through our fingers and tear it up elsewhere.

I'm actually confused. Which players on loan have an obligation to buy and which have an option?

Isn't Guenouzi an obligation? ANd Mavro an option?

Think from what I’ve read Guendouzi is pretty much gone and so is Mavropanos as both clubs want to keep them and the fee is pretty low.

It’s suggests it’s an obligation to buy, although it might be the latter with Guendouzi but Marseille have already stated they want to keep him I think.

Guendouzi is not a player that is at the level of a top 4 PL club so we don't really want him back.
He's no better than Xhaka - in fact, not as good.
I think we may have forgotten about the similar flaws where he gave the ball away in dangerous positions.

I believe there is a conditional option for Marseille to buy him.
Hopefully, there is some wriggle room on price and we can up it and get shot of him. He seems happy Marseille and in the French league, so win /win.
