Mustafi syndrome

We'll ask for £25m, clubs will tell us to f off

We send him out on loan again, no obligation to buy ofc

Summer we try to sell, at a drastically reduced price, same result

Rinse and repeat till his contract runs out

Or we could just bring him back and play him. He is a good player. Bit of a character but that’s where man management comes in.

A little bit ironic that the player who would've probably benefited the most from the acquisition of Thomas Partey alongside them in the midfield and formed a good match-up is Guendouzi, closely followed by Torreira.

This will be the biggest red flag in the summer on Arteta if he doesn't bring this kid back and reintegrate him into the team.
It will show he cares more about his own ego than the success of the club.

He won’t come back, hasn’t Arteta already apparently told him he has no future here?

Don't think he has done enough at Hartha B to be reconsidered. Doesn't have the qualities to have a future at Arsenal. We have enough mediocre players like Willock, AMN to come back and likes of Ceb, Xhakha even Ode (So far) and don't need another. Should be sold. We should be looking for a quality inform CM to have a better start next season. All our midfielders including Partey, Willian have underperformed. So we need to be vigilant and buy better next time.

Do you really think Arteta makes decisions purely to boost his ego, and not because he thinks it's right for the club? Even if you disagree with his decisions, you can't accept that it's just what he sees as the best thing for Arsenal?

Guendouzi has long had a reputation as a bit of a troublemaker and his time at Hertha has done nothing to disspell that.

I think Arteta makes bad decisions because he doesn’t have a clue, that’s why he continues to play the likes of Willian, Xhaka etc

He can’t see when someone is a liability and likewise can’t see when someone is a big talent, he’s blinded by his favouritism for certain individuals.

Least concerned about this guy. We took a punt on a Ligue 2 player for GBP 6m and he provided decent service for 2 seasons. We're better off having Elneny on the bench than this guy.

Send him back to France for 2-3m and move on.

All his coaches have said that he is talented, but his ego is hard to manage. I hope Arteta can manage him better, but that's very unlikely.

Guendouzi is a talent and a liability.

Pussification of football. People getting benched for showing up late and kicked out of the club for not being well mannered. Do me a favor. Bloody hell remember Best, Adams, Gazza, Cantona? Great players and great personalities. The biggest managers manage the biggest players. Not try to tame them like choir boys.

Players have always been benched for disciplinary issues like being late or undermining the manager's authority.

It's nothing new. Anyone who knows anything about football would know that.

Matt busby
5 times league champions
1 European cup
2 fa cups
Suspended George Best for 3 weeks after he missed a train to Chelsea 1971 after spending time with actress sinead cusack
In 1972 under Frank oFarrell best was suspended for what turned out to be 11 months
Even new manager Tommy docherty left it 5 months before allowing him to train and another 6 months before allowing him back into the team
That lasted 3 months before he failed to turn up for training in early 1974 and he never played
Cantona was banned for a month in 1989
By Marseille after kicking the ball at the crowd and ripping his shirt off and throwing it to the ground
At Montpellier after a fight with a teammate
He was banned from the ground for 10 days
Players transgress as do people
Take there sanctions and get on with it
