He's just a nightmare and be glad to get rid of him. There is a decent player in there but no better than Lokonga imo.

If that was the case they wouldn’t have chosen to keep him so he can’t have been as bad as the press reports suggest.

The fact they will keep him means none of the big clubs want him.

3 goals and 3 assist in the league - in France.
Chance creation is low at less than 1 per game
Quality of the chances he is creating is low at just 0.09 xG per game.
That is one of the worst in the entire squad of midfield players at Marseille

Tackles per game is 1.1
Interceptions 0.2

He's been dispossessed or messed up his touch more often than he has won the ball.

To call that 'stellar' is a bad joke.

£9m seems reasonable.

£9m selling price is good by Arteta/Edu standards, they love them some "loan --> free transfer" deals .

Partey was brought in at £45m and makes 5x what Guendo does. Has he been better?

I think there will be some truth to it but also some truth to the idea that Marseille think they can make some money on him. I'd wager that they buy him for the 8m, hope he has a decent season next year and they get 20-30m off someone for him.

Feel sorry for the club who pays that but even Jeff Reine Adelaide went to Lyon for 30m in the end.

At times Partey has been several levels above Guendouzi, but it remains to be seen if he can consistently cope with the pace of the PL.

I don't care much about how much we get for bad apples we need to rid our club of - I think packet of peanuts would be enough for Guendouzi.

No it doesn’t it suggests an option to buy being taken up.

They’ll make money on him for sure, no one can claim what we are selling for is a good deal for us, he’s worth more than they’re paying.

If he was, Ozim, then other teams would have been in for him.

Not usually when a in has a player on loan and an option to buy, that club buys him if they want him.

He’s a France international so the bitters like Jay and Phil can go do one. Marseille have gotten a bargain because their manager is an adult who knows how to handle difficult talent. They will sell him on in two years for 40-50 mil while we are still trying to figure out how to make Xhaka, Partey and Lokonga work.

40-50m ???
JHC
IN two years he might be worth 2 packets of peanuts - that's if he hasn't already pissed off so many people no one wants him.

The only one who doesn’t want him is a manager so insecure that he surrounds himself with yes men. The results are evident.

Don’t see anyone clamouring for Guendouzi now or previously. We couldn’t even sell him… had to be a loan.

As for our results… yes they do speak for themselves. We’re 4th.
