He was good in first half, but later ran out of steam. We need to play a creative midfielder instead of all holding ones. Really, both forwards we're starved of service, mostly in 2nd half. I cannot fathom Emery's thinking at all. Was he trying to stop ManCity by playing two mediocre holding midfielders? Also, expect them to provide defense splitting passes? Amazing!!
Muddleheaded!!

Heck of a player. Despite having very little to work with in midfield, he held his own, carried the ball forward, some classy passes...one of the few positives from the game.

For one so young, he's a class player. He has a big future.

Sven was our Head of Recruitment, every signing we've had since he's come in is his, we don't sign players unless he signs them.

I'm not saying he's above recommendations but his scouting is well known, he'd be focused on his targets.

No one else is responsible or has the power to sign players unless they're above him i.e Raul.

All this talk of "Emery signings" is simply fantasy.

I think that may have shifted now DG

I believe Emery & Sanhelli are colluding more now, Denis Suárez definitely doesn’t seem like the type of signing I’d expect from a HoR

Plus the fact he played under Unai before

Sven's gone.

Its been announced, as per now his station is mute until he's out the club, Raul loaned Suarez and yes it looks like it was def at Emery's recommendation.

But again, Raul > Emery, Emery doesn't sign anyone its Raul's call, anyone can make a recommendation but its Raul who authorises it.

He's gifted him a loan player, how much influence he will have on actual summer signings is yet to be seen, especially if Raul hires a new HoR.
