Guendouzi is a decnt young player - it's up to Arteta to get the most out of him.
It's something I don;t like about Arteta's style, but as long as he;s winning, he's all good.

Yeah, must have terrible man management skills, he could never get a broken squad to beat Liverpool, Man City then Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

But we can dream I guess.

Wasn't Guendouzi one of the players that bullied Emery?

Was he? Haven't heard about that.

While reports claimed that many players made fun of his accent, and training under him was a chore, I don't think it was specified who exactly.

Matteo Guendouzi attracts further interest as Arsenal transfer plans receive welcome boost

Arsenal are prepared to cash in on Guendouzi to fund their summer business

Paris Saint-Germain are considering entering the race for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

The 21-year-old is up for sale after falling foul of Mikel Arteta's strict disciplinary standards and could fetch a high price with a string of top clubs mulling moves.

PSG are the latest name to emerge and have kept a close eye on Guendouzi ever since he left their academy in 2014 to join Lorient and considered making their move before he joined Arsenal in the summer of 2018.

The French champions are far from alone in pursuing Guendouzi with Barcelona also interested in a deal. Former Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has also identified the midfielder as a target for his new club Villarreal whilst Juventus are reportedly keen.

Guendouzi has been frozen out of Arteta's side since the aftermath of a 2-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion in which he was criticised for his attitude by opposing striker Neal Maupay. The youngster was frozen out of first team training after declining numerous opportunities to make amends with coaching staff and has been made available for transfer as the Gunners look to swell their coffers.

Arsenal have held further talks with Guendouzi's representatives since the end of the season and hope to earn around £40million for the France Under-21 international.

It has been reported that they offered Guendouzi to Atletico Madrid as part of a swap deal for Thomas Partey but the Spanish club have been insistent throughout Arsenal's lengthy pursuit of the Ghanaian that they will only sell him if his £45million release clause is paid in full.

Guendouzi is among the players Arsenal are looking to sell to fund their planned overhaul of Arteta's side. Also available this summer are Lucas Torreira, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Ainsley Maitland-Niles whilst Rob Holding could attract interest.

Arteta is set to complete his first signing of the summer next week with Willian's arrival from Chelsea due to be announced imminently. He is also chasing Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, Partey and wants to extend Dani Ceballos' stay at the club.

I think we'll end up selling him for around €30m. The fact that we're desperate to sell and his attitude problems are well-known will decrease his value a fair bit.

Still, it's good profit.

If PSG want him we should put in a sell on clause knowing them they would buy another superstar at some point to replace him even if Guendouzi eventually get a spot in the first team

I agree although it depends on how much the demand heats up.

If we can string this out for a couple of weeks and see who's biting we can edge the price up if we get multiple suitors.

£35 - £40m is what I'd consider a well invested profit when we bought him for £6m.

It'll be more like 15-20m. Clubs know we need to sell and will just wait til deadline day to offer next to nothing. Hope I'm wrong.

Can see a price closer to this as well. Top clubs aren't going to tolerate the behavior of a malcontent who isn't talented enough to begrudgingly justify looking the other way from, and clubs not in the top echelon(s) aren't going to pay a sizeable fee when they may have a player close enough to Guendouzi's talent coming up from their academy.

I honestly still don't know what Guendouzi offers other than shithousery, collapsing like a sandcastle in a magnitude 3 earthquake, and the occasional decent pass. Seems more hype than substance to me.
