What that he rectified his mistakes? Unlike Wenger who just kept making the same mistakes and standing by them regardless?

Relax bro. It’s Norwich tonight. Another chance to stat pad. Life is good until we hit the top half teams.

You mean like Man Utd beating them with a late penalty were stat padding?

Away game in the PL - means it's a tough game.
Since 2010 in the PL vs Norwich away - P5 W2 D2 L1.

Surely a top four team (which you claim we are) should have no problem putting away a team ranked dead last home or away? Losing confidence are we?

Top 4 teams - and any other - more often than not have a tough game whenever they are away from home.
This is the PL.
Nothing to do with confidence, just a good understanding of the PL, plus an understanding that Doomers like to set up every game as easy.

Cup final tonight crayjay. Hope your boy is ready. Getting fired the morning after Christmas would be embarrassing :sneaky:

Marseille have gotten a bargain because their manager is an adult who knows how to handle difficult talent. They will sell him on in two years for 40-50 mil while we are still trying to figure out how to make Xhaka, Partey and Lokonga work.

40-50m ???
JHC
IN two years he might be worth 2 packets of peanuts - that's if he hasn't already pissed off so many people no one wants him.

The only one who doesn’t want him is a manager so insecure that he surrounds himself with yes men. The results are evident.

Don’t see anyone clamouring for Guendouzi now or previously. We couldn’t even sell him… had to be a loan.

As for our results… yes they do speak for themselves. We’re 4th.

Marseille are second.

In the Farmers League.

All I know is that next year Guendozi will be playing in the champions league while you’re reminiscing about those four weeks we had between November and December where we beat teams in the relegation zone.

Watford were 17th
Southampton 14th
West Ham 6th
Leeds16th

Apparently Marseille have been given a 2 year transfer ban so Guendouzi will be coming back to Arsenal at the end of the season.

Best news ever. Guendozi and Partey as starters with Lokonga and Azeez as backup is awesome. Bye Xhaka.

Unless Arteta gets sacked before the end of the season, I can't really see that happen. Providing we still have the same manager next season, we'll sell Guendouzi and Xaka to raise funds for a new midfielder.

Douzi is having a good season with Marseille, and even though come June he'll only have a year left on contract, we should be able to sell him for a bit more than the €11m we were set to receive from Marseille originally.

Or Arteta could mature as a manager and realize Guendozi has exactly the profile of the midfielder he is seeking. A high energy ball winner who can carry the ball out and pass. And maybe Guendozi too has realized that Arsenal is as good a club as he can hope to go to at the moment. If he signs a new contract and returns that’s instantly 30-40 mil on the books. Use the money saved to add to the striker budget and get the best striker we can possibly get.

Arteta should just do what he did with AMN and tell him what he wants to hear, but this time be smarter about it, by getting him to sign a new contract with a 30-40M buy clause and he can get rid of him after, if Marseille want him enough they’ll pay the money, if not we’ll send him on loan again and someone else will

Both he and Saliba will be loaned out/sold if they come back.

Only if they are not able to show in pre-season that they are ready for the PL.

Guendouzi must be shitting himself right about now. Time for him to come crawling back and promise to be a good boy.
Probably the worst outcome for him.

The transfer embargo will have no preventative effect on Guendouzi due to the option/obligation to buy clause having been inserted into the loan agreement and as such it cannot be overridden or negated by the ban.

It's like the pulisic to Chelsea when they were banned from transfers.

Unfortunately can't see guendouzi coming back. He's playing well. Why come back to perennial eighth placers? The eighth wonders of the world. And so on
