Not sure he’s done enough to be in this status yet tbh
In conversations with other agents & players last summer, Telegraph Sport understands, it was made clear by Arsenal’s most powerful executives that Bukayo Saka is the club’s ‘franchise player’.
The message to potential new attacking signings then, was clear - you will be behind Saka, in terms of status & in terms of salary.
As one agent told Telegraph Sport during the summer transfer window: “No new signing can ever be given a contract bigger than Saka’s.”

He's still one of the best wide forwards in the league but isn't where he was at his best
His wing play is still very, very good

Seems that way; he is good but never WC standards seem to have dropped.

A couple seasons back you would get no argument from me that he was world class, Martinelli was getting close as was Odegaard.
All 3 have dropped their level, Martinelli the most, then Ode, then Saka.

Not working 300k.
Semenyo, doku, much quicker and scary than Saka these days. Saka cannot even beat any LB in the top 6 of PL.

I'd rather Madueke than saka and I think you really train the combination of madueke and a striker so madueke knows the lane to pass too and it will bring alot of goals.
Arteta is not clever enough to just get gykores to run simply to the penalty spot or 6 yard line far post winger goes to the 6 yard striker penalty spot.

Crazy talk from some of you. Saka has absolutely been WC, he's just dropped off a bit after his injury last season. He'll get back to his best if Madueke is challenging him for minutes.
