Any one still feel weird seeing him as our #7?

Martinelli or Pepe would have been better candidates.

Nope. Love Saka in the #7.

I'd like to see Martinelli get #11 now that Torreira is gone.

Gem of a player. Way ahead of Martinelli in my opinion.

No its a bold statement and I like it. Its saying, "weve developed this guy and hes going to be a star"

Older heads will have told him about the players whove worn that shirt in the past..... he will be left in no doubt as to what it means

Solid performance from Saka. Best player on the pitch for us a long with Gabby.

Different players really Martinelli long term is a CF and whereas Saka will be a midfielder we are lucky to have both.

Whilst I think that as Arsenal fans we could parody the comedic questioning of 'Are we there yet?', and draw a reasonable assessment of being a little over half way along this arduous journey back to the top, due mainly to our recruitment of Gabriel, Tierney and Thomas along with the immergence of Saka.

We've had a glimpse of a fruitful relationship between Saka and our marauding Scotsman and whilst we may have to cast our minds back a little, an even stronger cerebral connection between Saka and Martinelli.

That we can solidify that even further with the substance provided by Gabriel and Auba's ability to exploit opportunities arising from the left hand side of the pitch, I see foundations being laid on bedrock instead of sand and more able to withstand the likely imposed loads of title challenges and trophy hunts.

That we have the opportunity to structure a team consisting of Gabriel at LCB, Tierney LB, Saka LM and Martinelli LWF with our talismanic Gabonese at CF supplemented by Pepe RWF and Partey RM, are what give rise to my rediscovered level of optimism.

Brilliant against city.
Brilliant against Leicester to such an extent that he was kicked off the pitch by them.

He needs protection and needs senior players to help him not ignore him whem he has the ball.

Martinelli is a prodigy. If this injury doesn't hamper him, he's on his way to becoming an elite talent.

As good as Saka is, he doesn't have that intelligence. He hasn't shown elite potential in either one of dribbling, finishing, vision, or playmaking.

Absolutely, anyone who thinks Saka is better than Martinelli is on some serious skunk.

All Saka is good at is dribbling ball to feet and I've seen him get the ball nicked off him even still, his final ball is pretty bad for the amount of times he's in a good situation to deliver and he rarely does.

Martinelli on the other hand was scoring goals at a good rate as was well as his all round play, Martinelli is the only youth we have who looks like he can become WC.
