Hopefully it's not serious. Bound to happen. Arteta said it was muscular and not impact related. He's probably burnt out and now broken down..

A hamstring injury can be whammy if not properly healed, and it's one of those recurring injuries due to the buildup of weak scar tissue.

Depends on the body type. I hope it isn't severe and he gets proper rest.

Some folks here like Zenith and myself were concerned by the amount of games Saka was playing. This is his body's cry for rest and healing.

I'm worried because a hammy tear, if it's that, would severely affect his growth and might even prohibit him from reaching his potential.

Messi altered his physical style after he tore his hamstring back in 2016. Difference is, Messi was nearly 30. Saka is 19. So, chances of a full recovery is high. But we have to be careful.

Yeah, it's been a concern for a while. Said a couple of weeks back that we're overplaying him and he needs a break. He had the one game off vs Leicester but has come back to play 3 games in 9 days. Hoping it's not serious. There hasn't been a need to play him so much over the last week. He could have been rested.

Hamstring or not, just rest him. We still have players like Martinelli and Pepe. He is still very young and we don't want to burn him out. Just rest him. Smith Rowe got a small injury and rested for a while and just look at how great he was against Spurs.

I find myself a little bit caught between two stools regards Saka right now. Part of me recognises like others have, that he has come across as just a little bit fatigued in his last couple of games culminating in the feared tweak to his hamstring.

With that in mind, I selfishly hope he is also not involved in the Poland game on Wednesday so that the interlull would represent a solid fortnight of r and r for him.

On the other hand however, part of me is equally swayed by the fact that it might be best for his fitness conditioning to play against the Poles in preparation for the Liverpool game and have the oil properly up to temperature as to speak.

In unfortunately having suffered the boney finger of fate proper flicking your bollocks in the name of a sick and twisted sense of humour, I don't even want to contemplate the possibility of him not playing any of the England games only to then start against the scousers and come off after 25 minutes with a torn hamstring. No siree Bob, no siree.

Well thank goodness for that, goes to show just how much interest or attention I've been paying after our match with West Ham. So there's me worrying over nothing eh. Cheers starmandb, can always rely on you mate :hail:

Arsenal may have to consider selling young stars such as England winger Bukayo Saka, 19, in order to raise the funds to sign Real Madrid's Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard, 22, permanently, as well as other new players to overhaul the squad. (Times - subscription required)

Imagine if this happened. I like Odegaard but selling Saka to get him, riot worthy.

Really poor game honestly, no problem as it will happen occasionally but has to be acknowledged.
