But Wenger got a lot of backing too after 2012. As others have stated, he didn't spend them judiciously. Example, never strengthened the defense, didn't invest in a proper DM.
He played Arteta ( an ACM by trade) , Cazorla ( AM) and Xhaka ( a no.8 by trade) as DM and the outcomes were poor in critical games.

Kroenke only started spending after he became sole owner of Arsenal. Wenger was gone by then.

Don't think you're a serious follower of Arsenal.
Some of the well known Wenger buys:
Henry: 11mil
Reyes: 17.5 mil
Arshavin: 15 mil
Podolski: 17 mil
Arteta: 10 mil
Giroud: 12 mil
Callum Chambers: 18 mil
Welbeck: 16 mil
Lucas Perez: 17 mil
Sanchez: 32 mil
Xhaka: 34 mil
Mustafi: 35 mil
Ozil: 42.5 mil
Lacazette: 47 mil
Auba: 56 mil
Not to shabby money-wise considering market was different 15-20 yrs ago

This. Wenger spent money, his delusion clouded his judgement, he got the attack working and neglected the defence or midfield, never gave us what we needed after the CL final loss. Threw away the title in the Eduardo injury season, no leaders.

We have spent twice as much since Wenger left over seven years than we did in his 22 years in charge and have one FA cup to show for it.

And got nothing to show for it, got laughed out of town by the clubs that actually won stuff, they didn't take us seriously, they knew how to handle us.

But you stay there and cling to the "looked good" trophy.

Jimmy White, the most skillful snooker player of his generation, never won a world title, but the boring f***ers won it! He would've traded some of that skill/flair for a world title.

Got three premier leagues with an invincible one and seven FA cups. How long before his successors get those numbers? Also, got to see the likes of Henry, Fabregas, Ozil and Sanchez. We now have to pray Mikel Merino scores!!!

Put up the numbers. Come on. How many titles since he's been gone? A billion dollars has been spent and one FA Cup. Time to accept the facts.

You post stuff to get a rise out of people because you're a sad little man. You're not interested in the subject, you're interested in a wind up.
