Liverpool and Manchester City continue to monitor the progress of Bukayo Saka at Arsenal, claims ESPN.

A highly-rated and versatile England international has caught the eye since making a senior breakthrough in north London and may become the subject of big-money bids from elsewhere in the Premier League at some stage.

So it begins

If City or Liverpool come knocking he won’t be sticking around.

He'll go on a free at the end of his contract or we'll pay off the rest of his contract

It's the in thing these days

Waiting for the inevitable Arteta breakdown with him

Liverpool and Manchester City are both watching the progress of 20-year-old Bukayo Saka at Arsenal and could make a move if the Gunners fail to qualify for the Champions League. Saka's contract at the Emirates expires in 2023, so Arsenal face a crucial summer in their bid to keep the England youngster.

Didn't realise his contract was out next year

Ffs we might well sell this summer

How have we let him run it down to almost a year? Leaves us in a very weak position if one of the big guns come knocking.

That’s why you have to build for the here and now and not for 5 years down the line, players aren’t happy with 6th place.

Thought it was longer so looked it up. All saying 2023.

Thought it was 24 myself but it's typical of us to be inept

Not sure who you think ‘All’ are. Pretty much every story says 2024.

Also 2024 according to the original deal details in 2020 and transfermarkt.
Reckon journalists are looking for willing Arsenal ‘fans’ to create a bad story.

Never been any indication from Saka he will leave the club he loves… just journalists trying to create stories.

He's on 30k pw, no way we should be offering more than 100k on this new deal. What's the point in slashing our wage bill to make the same mistake and pay a 20 year old who's only this season scoring and assisting fairly regularly, a ridiculous amount of money?

If he can't play for us on 80-100k pw then it would show he hasn't got the right attitude anyway. From what I've seen he comes across a smart kid who wouldn't chase the money.

Even Foden is only rumoured to be getting 150k when he's further ahead in his development and plays for moneybags FC.

We'll accept a Sterling + cash offer if it's made. Sterling's time at City seems to be coming to an end and he and Arteta would probably be a good fit, based on their time together at City.

Agree with Santi on this one. £150k in wages wont ward off the vultures. Liverpool and Man City can afford those wages if they really want him. The high wage thing has never worked for us. A certain level of performance is expected after the deal and we've seen plenty of players fail to live up to the hype or lose focus. We then end up struggling to get the them off the wage bill.
