Exactly, you spelled it out perfectly with the comment "without killing their market value".

Lol what.

Ndombele, Lo Celso, Bergwijn, Emerson, Winks, Sanchez

Huh ???

The only time they aired their dirty laundry in public was when they had Mourinho as manager and had that very public spat with Ndombele. Ndombele went on loan back to Lyon, there was no drama in public and the loan deal allegedly has an option to buy for €65m !!! Not the $0.02 we would probably get for him !

Lo Celso went on loan, no public spat.
Bergwijn played 22 league games this season for Spurs
Emerson played 31 league games this season for Spurs and crucially played the last 11 games Spurs played, starting 9 of them
Winks played 19 league games for Spurs this season
Sanchez played 23 league games for Spurs this season including their run in.

You/we have no idea if those players are not wanted, being sent on loan is not proof of not being wanted - especially when you consider the buy-out clause for Ndombele, not the sign of a player they want to get rid of.

I'm not sure I follow.

You asked "does anyone know a single player at Spurs that Spurs don't want". I gave you 6.

No one can stop the press from writing negative stories. Torreira was not part of Arteta's plans and was subsequently loaned out - no media fuss.

If you're referring to broader events like Ozil / Guendzoui etc. again I can't really remember any public spats from inside the club, just media speculation and reporting which comes as part of the game. If anyone is notorious for actually airing their dirty laundry in public it's Conte lol. The man is notorious for it.

Re. the killing their market value reference. Again how can you moan at the club for selling Torreira for £12.5m when we spent £27m on him when you're using Spurs in the same sentence.

They spent £45m on lo Celso and now there's talk of him going for £15m. Likewise Ndombele came in for £55m and now they're hoping to recoup £25m.

But you don't know Spurs don't want any of those players, there was no public spat that might point to that and most of the players in the list played plenty of games for Spurs last season at an important time. Thats NOT the sign of a club that wants to get rid of those players !!

So we are left with the loanees, again, being loaned out is not necessarily a sign that a player is not wanted, take Saliba as an example. If you don't want a player you don't loan him out to a club that don't have big money and insert an option to buy higher than the excessively high price you bought him for in the first place !!! Thats what you do to a player you want to keep ! And ... you don't know that Spurs don't want Lo Celso.

Contrast that to our loans, players that never get game time, players in public spats, players whose values are plummeting

I mean we do because Conte came in and made it very clear both were surplus to requirements - both were then immediately loaned out with buy options.

I honestly can't remember any public spats - certainly not with Torreira. He simply wasn't in the manager's plans and he himself didn't want to stay in England.

I don't see the difference in our situations honestly. Lo Celso and NDombele both came in for big money, were loaned out with buy options, and both are set to leave for less than half of that this window.

I hear you, I just don't see Spurs with anywhere even remotely close to the player drama we have, aired out in public. They had the Harry Kane - will he stay/will he go saga, thats expected when one of the best and most demand players in the country outgrows a club, but where are their Saliba/Guendouzi/Torreira sagas where players get farmed out to endless clubs on loan ?

One season on loan and then they get rid of them, we keep players on endless loan cycles, its amateurish

Spuds are a smaller club, so lesser the attention. ManU gets the highest attention followed by 'pool and then us. Nowadays Chelski and MC have crept in also.

The attention is certainly less when the club doesn't put out a public statement criticizing Harry Kane for coming back from holiday late and playing like utter shit under Nuno.

The simplicity of your post, absolutely spot on and I couldn't put it better myself.

It really shouldn't be a debate, how Spurs conduct themselves with regard to transfers and how we do, its almost night and day. Its embarrassing that they are light years ahead of us when it come to negotiations.

We should be out of sight, considering we have been at the Emirates since 2005, how the noisy neighbours are climbing up on our shoulders having just had their second season in their new stadium is criminal !

Florencetina or what ever they're called are trying to get him for £6m apparently.

What is Edu doing.

How is it Edu's fault that Fiorentina is broke?

Thought we're looking for 12mil+ for him. He should definitely fetch more. A decent player, even if he doesn't fit into our plans.

They sold Vlahovic for £75m in Jan and Chiesa's loan becomes permanent this summer for £40m.

They can afford more than £6m lol.

Edu needs to market him better and be bringing in ~£15m.

Offering 7m for him looool

Clubs don't respect Edu. They clearly don't take him seriously.

Roma saying they have little money last summer for Xhaka then spending 40m on Tammy a few weeks later.
Fiorentina offering a measly 7m for Torreira.

Absolute joke.

The best transfer we could make is getting this idiot out of this club. Seems to be more focused on his social media photos than bringing decent players in.

They ain't broke, this was in Jan:

Juventus have signed striker Dusan Vlahovic from Serie A rivals Fiorentina for £58m, plus £8m in add-ons.

Rocco Commisso, the owner of Fiorentina, has covered the over 340m debt the club has suffered the last few years and is looking for that money back. These player sales are to recoup that investment, not to rebuild the squad, as Commisso sees it unfortunately.

We can get 15m for Torreira, just not from them.
