He was never going to get serious game time at fuckin Atletico of all teams.

Sell him to Milan or some Serie A club and be done with it. I'd love to be able to say "Welcome back, you're replacing Xhaka" but half the time he's actually a fair bit worse than Xhaka. He isn't a B2B mid either, which makes him largely useless for PL games.

I really don't get it.

He had a great first few games and Simeone was raving about him, I think he scored as well.

Not sure what happened to make Simeone dump him all of a sudden?

Saul
Koke playing out of his mind
Llorente
even Kondogbia (who is an Atleti player) has been playing well

Torreira is way down the pecking order because he's not as good as Atleti's players, so it makes sense why Simeone wouldn't use someone who isn't even his.

Arsenal are ready to recall Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira from his loan spell at Atletico Madrid, while Fiorentina have reignited their interest in the 24-year-old. (La Nazione, via Express)

Hopefully we can sell directly and not just loan him out again. Shouldn't be staying at Atletico, if he isn't playing in all cases. His market value will only drop

No room for him at CM. Xhaka, Ceballos, Elneny and Party all start before him.

Time to call up uncle Unai and see if he can do us a solid.

Arsenal are furious with Atletico Madrid over their treatment of Lucas Torreira, according to Libertad Digital.

Torreira is currently on loan with Atletico but has been used sparingly, making just six La Liga appearances this season so far.

Arsenal feel that Atletico are deliberately lowering Torreira's transfer value after the Gunners did not include a purchase option in the Uruguayan's loan.

Itallians will want him.

There's no point him coming back here, the guy hates living in England.

His contract runs out in 2023 we need to sell him this summer as I don’t see us getting much the year after.
