Just sell him to Gazidis. If Milan win the league or end up in CL, we could get an OK price in the summer.

The problem is he's a good player but he thinks he's better than he is, he should go to Fiorentia and fk off.

Fed up of people like this, came here then got home sick, i mean ffs, why bother coming?

He should of thought it through more, maybe he didn't have time due to the transfer but why reach to advance in your career abroad if you can't hack it.

He doesn't think he's better than he is. He's a Uruguayan international. Was highly rated until last season.

If Batistuta FC stumped up the dough, he'd have happily left. But we have a curious case here.

The esteemed Arteta can't use Ozil; he can't utilize Torreira and Guendouzi; Pepe is a lost case under him; a thorough professional like Sokratis has no place in the squad; Auba is having the worst season under his helm...

You wonder.

I think Atletico have been deliberately leaving him out to lower the price.

Still puzzled as to what this guy's differentiating factor is. Too slight to have a proper defensive presence, not a particularly fast dribbler or passer. Cannot play in any other role besides CM.

Wonder how much the fee would be, no doubt we’ll be making a big loss as usual.

Sadly, it hasn't worked out at Atleti for him. There's still a good player in there but the clowns we've had in charge haven't made it easy for him.

There's like five Arsenal players who are having good seasons, so far, so take it easy.

He'd still do well under a decent manager at Arsenal.

It's present day Monaco, anything above £10m would be considered a good deal.

Two big clubs have shipped him out one after the other.

Something is not right. It may be football related, or it may be something else.

What it most certainly is not is Mikel Arteta.

Monaco in talks to sign Lucas Torreira on loan

Monaco are in talks with Arsenal over the possibility of signing midfielder Lucas Torreira on loan.

The 24-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Atletico Madrid but has started just two matches for the La Liga leaders.

Earlier this month, Arsenal technical director Edu admitted there were "worries over Torreira" and his playing time at Atletico.

He also revealed that a number of clubs had approached Arsenal about Torreira's availability, including Italian sides Fiorentina and Cagliari.

However, Atletico would have to agree to cut his loan short before any other deal could be agreed.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits he is unsure if Torreira will remain with Atletico for the rest of the season.

"He hasn't been playing as many minutes as he would like, as we would like, but to be fair the team is doing so well that it's understandable they don't change the team so much.

"We just want to be right behind Lucas, protect him, help him to make the right decision for the future.

"Let's see what happens, but we are monitoring the situation very closely. At the moment he's going to stay in Atletico, that's my belief.

"I don't know if something's going to change in the next two or three days."

Torreira joined Arsenal from Sampdoria in 2018 for £26m and has gone on to make 89 appearances for the Premier League club in all competitions.

He was allowed to join Atletico in October, with midfielder Thomas Partey moving the other way in a permanent deal worth £45m.

He's in Atléti's starting XI against Cádiz.

Suárez with the opener. These days he looks he's running through treacle, but kudos to him for still scoring as frequently as he does.

Its got nothing to do with our managers in this particular case.

Torreira has openly admitted in an interview, the reason he's having problems here is because he doesn't like living in England.

I don't see how that's Arteta or Emery's fault?

He obviously doesn't like the culture or the weather as he's used to living in Mediterrainian and South American countries, Reyes had the same issue.
Some people just get home sick and don't realise it until they've tried it out.

Spain, Italy he'll be fine in, maybe even France but once you hit northern Europe its pretty different.

England is pretty sh*t tbf, I like it because this is what I'm used to, but every time I go to La Rochelle, Alicante or Como in Italy you realise England has nothing like that, not even close.

We go ape sh*t over Sandbanks and Kennsington ffs like that's high living, absolute peasants.

France has a ton of places that sh*t all over Sandbanks, Monaco being one of them.
