Arteta doesn't want Guendouzi, fine, Lokonga won't be ready next season so we may need support by way of another signing so we don't have to look at Xhaka's face again.

The vacant striker position has everyone talking, but I would argue that our midfield is in more trouble, is the worst we've had in years and is top priority for reinforcements (goes without saying that we need at least A striker of course).

I'd persist with just Eddie and Balogun if it meant bringing some real quality to that shit show of a midfield.

Partey is solid, he has everything in his locker. But we've only seen glimpses of what he's capable of, and that's not just down to his injury record. Ideally he should have to fight for his position next season after we bring in two midfield starters.

Well yeah, when you see Lokonga and Xhaka and Elneny you would think the midfield is a problem, I agree.

Unai didn't have a system. Lol. He was a shocking manager.

I think Torreira would suit any team that looks to press aggressively and despite trying to play that way, we don't really have that sort of player that can close down distances quickly. Partey is good on the defensive side but could really benefit from someone that has a bit more bite next to him. I also think Partey is picking up these injuries because he's having to do too much next Xhaka.

Exactly this.

People forget how Torreira bossed games for us in his first season, he was far more effective for us in his first season than Partey was for us, think about it.

Fiorentina are struggling to agree a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira. The Uruguay midfielder, 26, has impressed on loan with the Italian side who are hoping the Gunners will reduce their £12.5m asking price. (Evening Standard)

Fior just need to be patient

We'll loan him again and then pay him off in January

It is the Arsenal way

Juve want him

They're tight bastards though and we shouldn't be doing them any favours. Helped spurs out massively and stole Vlahovic from us in the process.

That's why I hate the way we release our players. Other clubs will just wait until they get the players they want without having to pay much money.

Transfermarket has his current valuation at £18m. It was once as high as £49m. What a plummet.

Torreira has been handled terribly, it’s been clear we don’t want him for years, we should have brokered a deal somehow rather than repeatedly loaning him out.

I also think other clubs have seen how we’ve handled other players and realise they can get them on the cheap.

Cutting out players like we do isn’t the way to do things because their value just plummets.

We’ll make a loss on him either way, just as we do on almost all the players we sell. Even those that do well like Guendouzi and Mavropanos end up going got very little.

We would get rinsed at any card game, this club don't have a clue about how to play smart, keep our cards close to our chest. Does anyone know a single player at Spurs that Spurs don't want ?! All of our dirty laundry is aired in public, bloody idiots !

Get this done at whatever price we can get. Delusional to think we can charge what we like considering how little we rate him.

Huh ???

The only time they aired their dirty laundry in public was when they had Mourinho as manager and had that very public spat with Ndombele. Ndombele went on loan back to Lyon, there was no drama in public and the loan deal allegedly has an option to buy for €65m !!! Not the $0.02 we would probably get for him !

Lo Celso went on loan, no public spat.
Bergwijn played 22 league games this season for Spurs
Emerson played 31 league games this season for Spurs and crucially played the last 11 games Spurs played, starting 9 of them
Winks played 19 league games for Spurs this season
Sanchez played 23 league games for Spurs this season including their run in.

You/we have no idea if those players are not wanted, being sent on loan is not proof of not being wanted - especially when you consider the buy-out clause for Ndombele, not the sign of a player they want to get rid of.

Conte lets players know what he thinks behind the scenes, instead of telling the club to put out a public statement.

Look at any Spurs forum, they can't stand Winks, Davies and Lo Celso. They credit Conte for getting them to play like PL footballers, because under Mourinho and Poch, they were jogging around casually, with no competition for their place.

Conte did however ship out Lo Celso, Ndombele and Bryan Gil quietly in January, without insulting them or killing their market value. Lo Celso went on to do great with Villarreal, and they're now in talks w/ Spurs over a £15m transfer.
