again... people adding value to players who have been signed got older, didnt show any improvement and got injured...
and we expect to get more than what we paid... :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: :hiding:

Hence why I said it'd be solid business if we managed to recoup the money.

that why i added in the next post that i agreed with you....

Basically recouping our cash, the obligation to buy allows us greater leverage to pay in installments for Aouar

Not really why would Lyon care about helping us or Fiorentina out?

He means because we're guaranteed the 16m next year so if they accept it then the cash is already coming in in 12 months time to pay for the Aouar installment.

Doesn't mean Lyon are anymore likely to be happy about it but they're gonna want the 50m one way or another aren't they.

Ye I doubt Lyon are arsed about how soon money comes in from transfers, no club operates like that really

The £16m guaranteed just allows enhances the potential package we can do for installments for Aouar

He's not trash, he just hasn't settled well and I don't think either Emery or Arteta rated him particularly. Just one of those deals that didn't work out despite him being a good player.

So we get 8m for loan and another 16m on top if they buy making it 24 or 8m loan plus another 8m to buy making it 16?

We don't need cash on hand, clubs use short-term financing to get deals over the line. £16m obligation next year means we can borrow at least that much now, and pay it back w/ interest next year.

He'll do good in Serie A, I think for a player of his stature the slower pace over there is better for him.

If we replace him with Partey or Diawara then we won't miss him.

i think we can have the luxury of Torreira when now we have bloody tall backline, Mari, Luiz, Gabriel, Saliba, holding, McGuiness.

I don't think Torreira's height is a weakness to the team anymore

€24 million

The €8 million is the loan fee. The €16 million is the transfer fee.
