No great loss, he is definitely an improvement on what we had at DM previously but as others have said, he has been a hairline away from wanting to leave for a while.

So goodbye. He can cry at some other club!

If Lucas is to be sold we should go out and bring in Ibrahim Sangare from Toulouse. Probably wouldn't command a huge fee and he's big, can get about and the type of player we are lacking in the middle.

Agreed. Reckon he'd be a great midfield partner for Guendouzi.

Whilst he does play slightly deeper, he's similar in style to Watford's Doucouré, but a few inches taller and 5 years younger.

Why bye?

The coach/board alienated him by playing him as a CAM. The coach/board tried its best to isolate and vilify our Mesut. Now, the ball is rolling towards Auba.

We could have Messi and this coach would bench Messi because, "he only walks around 80% of the time." Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if this coach debarred Messi from taking free-kicks if he were a Gunner.

Exactly, people are missing the bigger issue here. It won't hit home until it's a player they like that wants to leave. But it's already too late. We have a coach that nobody likes to play for. So getting in new players isn't going to work as they will just want to f**k off eventually too.

I think people need to see the difference between Leiciester and pretty much the same squad apart from Maguire under Puel and Leicester under Rogers now as a good way of assessing us.

Right now we're not good, just as Leicester were under Puel, their top players we're performing and they were struggling, now they are defending well, scoring for fun and looking very dangerous.

We're basically Leicester under Puel, none of our players know what system they are playing or are being played in the right roles and there's no confidence. The only difference may be that Leicester have won the title recently and probably have a more proactive board who won't stick with to someone when it's not working.

Pretty much. It's hard to really assess individuals in the team at the moment. We'd be making the same mistake as seen under Wenger. We'll end up selling some of our best players whilst replacing them with lesser players that the manager still can't use.

Exactly. Player assessments are pointless right now.

Yes agreed, we need a new manager who has a system and a clear goal to look at these players and consider whether they are good enough, Torreira was fantastic for Uruguay in the world cup and was also very good for us at the beginning of last season, but just like everyone else he looks hopeless right now, not helped by never being played and when he has been being played as an attacking player.

It's things like this that should really make Sanelhi and co realise Emery isn't up to it, it's not rocket science that he can't be an AM, the average person who knows anything about football realises this, so for a manager of a top club not to must set the alarm bells ringing. As does his love for Kolasinac who can't defend for toffee but often gets picked over Tierney a guy we signed in the summer. It must also be clear to anyone that playing your most potent strikers as wingers whilst playing Ozil as a false 9 is nonsense and shows someone doesn't have a clue what they are doing.

Makes me wonder what the guys upstairs are watching.

Because torreira isnt that good to begin with. He is decent, nothing more. I doubt that if he indeed is unhappy, that its because of his more advanced role. Its more likely that he doesnt feel welcome in england.

Any player that doesn't want to play for Arsenal can f**k off. No begging to stay. You want to leave? Bye!
