Shame it didn’t work out for him, never thought he got a real chance.

Fee is peanuts, making a hefty loss on him.

Good luck to him. A really small fee indeed.

Fiorentina want him full time, will suit him over there tbh.

How have we managed to lose money on a guy so young?

We bought him for £26m and we're making a £13m loss ffs, guys 25 years old, in his prime and he only has a suitor for £13m.

Jesus wept.

Because he's been trash for at least 2 years that's why. Add in that we're shit at negotiating in both directions then i'm impressed we're only losing 50%.

Just hope they buy him.

Yep - hopefully we get something back on him.
We're slowly dumping the bad signings and whilst we are having to eat a loss it's best to just get rid of them off the wages.

LT’s first season at Arsenal is better than anything Partey has ever produced for us, he was never a bad player just hates the lifestyle and ruined by Emery being asked to play B2B towards the end of Emery’s time here

Funny how quick our fans forget how good LT was...

There is a litany of things I will never forgive our previous manager for, this is one of them.

Works hard, makes life difficult of midfielders and most importantly positions himself well when we don't have the ball - hence lots of passes cut out.

It's amazing it took us so long to sign such a player - it's a plus point for Emery that he spotted this so early and signed Torreira.

Such a simple thing but he's the player we've needed for ages, perfect combo of a Santi replacement with a bit more steel and defensive mindset. If only we could get someone better next to him.

I don't agree with a lot of your posts but this one is spot on

We all thought Torreira was very good in his first season, he should still be starting for us, it would solve our DM problem.

Love the way you called out the true flip floppers :rofll:

Torreira never really got a proper chance, Emery played him out of position, Arteta never really played him.

I’d have him over Xhaka at the drop of a hat.

Arsenal will raise £20m towards signing a new striker from the sales of 22-year-old French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, to Marseille, and 26-year-old Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira, to Fiorentina. (Mirror)

Shame it never worked out. Looked very good initially

Should have kept him. Better than Lokonga and Xhaka.

Anyone that thinks Xhaka, Lokonga or Elneny are a pimple on the talent of Torreira are crackers. We shoukd have had Torreira holding which would release Partey to play his natural game. It would automatically make our midfield tough. Then with Odegaard there, that's one of the best midfields in the Prem.

[DiMarzio] Fiorentina: Torreira will not be signed. The midfielder will return to Arsenal.

I am perfectly happy about this. Him and Partey holding down that combative CM role will be excellent, no need to have Xhaka in the team/squad.
