You will not miss welbeck if Aubameyang or Lacazette gets injured. I am sure Welbeck is still a better player than Nketiah

Next season I’d like to see...

Carrasco—Ozil—Welbeck

Kola—Ake—Holding—Bellerin

From Reddit.

Top-right corner the best and bottom left corner the worst.

Pretty much confirms that we'd have won the title if we had a better striker in 15/16.

What's baffling is that we created so many big chances in 11/12.

Song, the Don.

Yeah, it has been a few years now with dreadful football. When we didnt win many trophies, we could enjoy our football style at least between 2005 and 2013? Not really sure, when it ended. I just know i didnt enjoy our football bar a few games for some years now

TL;DR our beautiful football took its last breath after the 2013-14 season, and we haven't been enjoyable to watch in 4.5 seasons.

I only watched maybe 4 or 5 games all last season, but I remember being bored af watching us before that. I wanna say our beautiful style started to decline when Cesc and Nasri both left in the summer of 2011. RVP leaving the next summer and us bringing in Giroud and Podolski to 'replace' him continued that trend, although we had Cazorla, Arteta, and Rosicky (injured most of the season though) to sort of mitigate it. Wengerball saw a mini-resurgence when Ozil and Cazorla played together, but then took another dip when Cazorla was injured. Then Sanchez being brought in pretty much killed our beautiful football since he seemed to not understand the concept of passing to teammates not named Ozil and would instead rather take on a defender and lose possession.

There were moments of vintage Wengerball post-RVP/Cesc/Nasri (DAT Wilshere goal vs. Norwich), but that beauty became the exception rather than the norm.

Emery hasn't helped in that regard; our style is still f***ing dreadful. I don't even know what to consider that abomination yesterday against Huddersfield.

Yep, I'd say losing Cesc and Nasri was the start of it. Can't stress enough how important it is to have the right midfield combination.

Yep. We've been dire to watch since Van Persie left. But really it was when we lost Nasri and Fabregas that started it.

Summer 2013 really was pathetic.
