He will be missing:

Elneny, Monreal, Iwobi, Xhaka, Ozil, Welbeck, Ospina

Anyone I've overlooked?

Joel Campbell and Takuma Asano.

Campbell's technically still an Arsenal player although I think his contract expires in June.

Xhaka will most likely go to the World Cup. I don't think Switzerland has released its final squad yet.

Xhaka wears the 10 jersey and will surely go unless a major injury rules him out. But that's basically only 1 nailed on starter (Ozil) going to the world cup.

Xhaka & Ospina also nailed on starters

Colombia aren’t exactly gonna recall Mondragon

Worried for Ospina he might get bodybagged if he performs how he usually does for Columbia

One thing I'm looking forward to seeing is what Unai will do with Lacazette. Lacazette, imo, is better as a starter as opposed to coming off the bench. The way I see it, Unai could:

1) save him to start Europa and/or domestic cups only but not sure how Lacazette will take the news;
2) continue where Wenger left off and pair him with Auba but that would probably mean we won't be bringing in another forward player and/or one of Ozil, Ramsey, or Mkhi won't be happy with their playing time or position;
OR
3) use him as a plan B off the bench in all comps but I can't see Lacazette being of any use to us this way
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

So the first two signings of the post Wenger era are Sokratis, a 29 yr old bench warmer at Dortmund, and Lichtensteiner, a 35 yr old full back who is out of contract at Juventus. Catalyst for change? Or more of the same? And now there’s no Wenger to say the manager has the money but doesn’t like to spend.
