He's done it already and more besides, with more still to come.

A very good start.

I'm not sure we need a DLP if we have Ozil, but then if we had a dominant DM that could really unleash Xhaka and Ozil.

Given Emery's past, I don't think there will be a set in stone formation.

Ozil plays much deeper these days than he used to earlier. Maybe he could be our DLP. :hiding:

He'd get over run, blamed for not defending and Ozil's own preference is clearly to orchestrate the offence, through balls etc, Ozil deep isn't going to work imo and it'd be a waste of talent, do we really want to turn Ozil into a long ball specialist?

Look what the fans think, can't remember the last time Arsenal fans and myself were this relieved and this pumped for the start of the season.

I'm not expecting top 4 or anything really, what I want to see installed is a competitive edge, a competency from the coaching staff and a cohesive, dangerous team, once (hopefully) we get that in place ............ the rest will come.

One thing I do like is he seems quite no nonsense, I suppose being the boss at PSG is to be expected, a lot of pressure in a job with that expectancy so he's obviously of the mind set to focus on delivering, makes a welcome change.
