Aim to be as good as we can be

Aim for trophies

Being knocked out of the CL last 16 every year isn't better than winning a trophy

Its a step, literally a step in the right direction and people need to appreciate you need to respect and climb those steps to reach the top.

We act like we won it last year? how can we be too good for something we couldn't even win?

You know what I mean.

Europa League or Champions League.

i.e the modern European competitions.

I'm afraid I'm not convinced by that explanation

Get Top 4 or better each season and drop out of the group stages and into EL the following season.

CL brings the money that keeps professional clubs like ours going. That's why top 4 and CL qualification is so important. Few years of EL, and we will slide down to mid-table. Won't be able to attract or buy anybody decent.

But that's just loser thinking ... we won't attract players or sponsors being a second tier club ... play CL and if we do feck up we drop into the EL anyway .. if we reach the last sixteen it's game on - are you seriously suggesting we can't match City - Utd - Liverpool - Spurs all through to the last eight this year.

That 1994 cup winners cup team, miss that era! I'd have been in year 11!

Righting Wengers wrongs

Not there yet as Wenger has had 20= years of destruction at this club so it will take more than a few months for Emery to cure the club but he has done magnificently well so far with a shit squad.

The over performance of a life time

Well said.

Again, I never claimed Emery winning the EL would trump any of Wenger's achievements, I simply said it would be a great feat to win a European trophy in his first season since Wenger was never able to.

Your reading comprehension is lacking.

Obviously people didn't care about the EL before we were in it, why the fvck would Arsenal fans care about a competition we didn't compete in?

But now, we find ourselves in it and have a very real chance of winning it.

Pathetic to try and dismiss Emery winning 3 ELs, like that isn't a great accomplishment.

And lol at your "rude boy" and "bly" talk, Mr. Yardie.

Im not a Yardie my yoot!! Londoners use the same words!

Deny it all you want, my reading comprehension is just fine. You made a sly dig, I called you out and you are trying to defend it rather than just say you didn't mean it how you wrote it. The inference of your statement is clearly a dig and if you can't see that then go take some evening classes.

Not riled up at all, Im glad he has gone, as I have stated plenty of times I was not a fan of Wenger and wanted him out for years. But if something is bullshit then I will say it, im not biased.

But but but, winning this trophy will trump something Wenger didn't do, even though Wenger did the most difficult thing domestically in his second season, something far more difficult.

The idiocy of that statement won't be beaten for a while.
