They don't know what they want, for 2 years now they've been berating Ozil for not working harder, then the moment a manager comes in who tries to enforce it ya'll lose your minds claiming he's alienating Ozil.

Make up your fudging minds.

Stop making stuff up!! The only people complaining Ozil isn't working hard enough are thise that want him out! The rest of us that want him to stay have said nothing of the sort about him having to work harder, we know where his talents lie and they are not in tackling back or running more.

My two pennies: Play Ozil everyday, especially PL, Europa games, hopefully he creates 2-3 chances, then pull him if the situation requires.
There aren't any more creative player than him at AFC, and with him upfield, engages more opposition defenders, who cannot join in the attack. Best policy is to play your best player as much as you can, to their strength.
Try not to turn him into an average Joe.

Emery not doing anything to fix that he's just alienating one of our top 3 players.

I'm holding back that judgment for the moment.

It certainly seems that way but sometimes treatment like this is necessary to have a player perform.

It may or may not work. Emery is taking a gamble and, regardless, I hope it works out in the best way for the club

It's very difficult to judge Emery before he's had a good few transfer windows under his belt. After all, this squad has largely not been assembled by him. I'll withhold judgment for now.

Other managers can go to teams with far worse players and improve them defensively immediately. I don't see any excuses for why we show no improvement in that area under Emery, in fact we are worse!

I agree but just don't think Ozil is that type of player, said before he seems the type who needs a cuddle rather than a kick. The fact Jose used to sub him at 60 mins quite regularly wasn't kicking him up the ass, just keeping him fresh and switching the game...which I'm fine if Emery sees the need to do.

Difference is, Madrid had other stars to play, Ozil is one of our best and should just play as much as possible.

We're lacking direction and bit all over the place. You made a similar point yesterday with the constant contradictions on Emery and the club. I think it's down to the club to provide a bit of clarity on what the heck is going on. Narratives are being written and hijacked already with little information.

We need to start thinking about the information we're being fed at some point. A bit uncomfortable with some of the viewpoints being formed already.

If you have a 1minute spare then please fill out my questionnaire which is in the link below. The questionnaire is based on Gooners perception on the front shirt sponsor. The questionnaire results will be kept anonymous and results are used purely for university research.

C'mon, Man. It is not that simple. Mourinho has failed to fix United's defensive problem for three years. Wenger has failed to fix our defensive problems for at least five years. Even Klopp need one year and he spent a lot of money on players like Van Dijk and Alisson.

For all of emery faults, just thank god we don't have sarri.

Plays his best player out of position completely making him ineffective. Plays Kante in offensively. Completely ruins his game.
