People have forgotten that we were a top-4 club under Wenger even during his latter years and won trophies while he was at his worst.

Emery is only getting compared to Wenger of 17/18. Even in 16/17, we got record points for a club not in the top-4 and won the FA Cup.

We will have to win one of the two remaining Cups to have a season better than Wenger's worst season ever at Arsenal.

Perspective.

Bunch of nonsense.

He's not being compared to 17/18 because It's Wenger's worst season but because that's the trash he's inherited with very little investment. What do you want us to do, compare this team to the Invincibles?

Also, based on your comments, it seems like you've given up on top 4. Do you realize we're going through our worst injury ridden part of the season and we're still 2 points away from Top 4?

Only thing i agree on is that we shouldn't be blaming Wenger for anything that's going on right now. In fact, we shouldn't be mentioning Wenger at all.

Everyone needs to calm down with the overreactions. It's like you're all racing for who's going to be the first one to start shitting on him so that you can be the one to say "i told you so" when he ends up leaving the club.

Meh.

I don't share your optimism or faith. He's not inspiring me with an iota of belief.

Arsenal fans have always been a weird bunch. I could almost see them blaming Wenger for our descent into the English Sevilla.

Emery is the new blue-eyed boy here, so most have turned on Ozil in singing his praises. The honeymoon period will run out.

And, on your final remarks, I doubt anyone is that immature. Managers are judged on how they manage the team and the results. Results don't matter to me this season but his handling of Ozil and Laca has been shambolic. You can't deny that. He's trying to do too much in a short period of time. It's sad though that only at Arsenal do managers seem to get all the time in the world.

Exactly!! People harp on about the squad Fergie left, forgetting they won the Prem at a canter so cannot have been that bad!

Likewise I am totaly unimpressed with Emery's handling of his offensive players. My only hope is that he is playing certain players to give them a chance and that Laca and Ozil will be played properly at some point soon.

If I wanted to see idiotic management we should've kept Wenger!!

It is disappointing to see our 2 best players not getting game time - especially when good players are so thin on the ground.
Ozil is by far our best creative player.
Lacazette is our best striker.
Got to stay supportive of Emery, though. First year dealing with one of the most severe cases of mismangement I can ever remember in football over a 10 year period.

Eight top four finishes, and three FA cups in that decade of mismanagement. But keep clutching for straws.

Emery's football doesnt even have a style, he is like budget 2018 Mourinho.

Since I'm seeing posts like these and people will inevitably start trolling just want to leave this post as a reminder that Wenger thinks we have defensive stability:

Speaking to beIN Sport (as quoted by Squawka) he said: "The team is in good hands and I always said that. A lot of people thought when I left the club that the team would need to completely rebuild - I never thought that. I am very happy that these people have been proved wrong."

He added: "With the recruits he has brought in, it has brought a form of defensive stability and so I think everything is going well.

We had all summer to strengthen the squad. Wenger was long gone by then. Our biggest signing was Torreira at 20 mil. I thought Wenger was the one preventing us from big signings. What’s stopping us now?

Mate go back to sleep. If it wasn't mismanagement fans wouldn't habe been fighting, marches wouldn't have taken place, over half of the fans wouldn't have been calling for him to be sacked and - he wouldn't have been sacked!

Simple. The new man is evaluating the squad. Expect lots of changes in the next 12 months.

What’s there to evaluate? We finished sixth last season. The new guy was brought in to better that. We hired four people to replace Wenger - one for coaching, one for technical development, one for scouting and one for contracts. What have they been doing since April? Is the best they could get us Lich and Sok in defense?

Wenger was never the problem .
With someone like Emery the club woud have gone down after the move to the Emirates.

Thierry Henry realizing its much easier to criticize Wenger from the sky sports studio than actually do the job. He’s won 3 of his last 14 games.

Henry doesn't have Henry

Lol at people expecting Henry to be great in his first job. Wenger won less than a third of his games as manager of Nancy.

It’s the curse of the sky sports pundits. They’ll all try their hand at management and end up back on their asses in the studio. Cara’s next. Failures one and all.
