No we didn't have a big enough squad

As was repeatedly complained about by myself and others at the time

In 07/08 certainly not

But we never really had the depth necessary

Not since the days of Kanu as third best striker

We bottled it against United too.

Dominated them, they have once chance and score.

Henry came off bench.

That's why I don't rate the Invincibles as high as others, they bottled the treble within the space of a few days.

Tbf when united won the treble they had crazy depth up top and they still had luck beyond belief

So then the question I have is, which team was better, Wenger's first double winning squad with Overmars and Adams et al or the Invincibles ?

Double team lost 6 times and got 78 points, not that much in today's terms, have to go with the invincibles quite easily

It is always better to win more trophies

Given the choice at the start of any season, I'd rather we win the double than go unbeaten

Exactly how i feel
You can go unbeaten and get 38 points
Coming top and winning trophys is all that matters regardless of how its done

And this is why Pep's season was better than the Invincible one, imo. You enjoy wins, and Pep had more of those

You must also think Mourinho's first season with Chelsea was better than the Invincibles then.

Right! City pretty much got to assemble an all star team. Just think what Wenger could have done with that team in his good years.
