Get your A4 ‘Arteta out’ placard ready to hold aloft.

I think it's a ploy by the nameless one, the board will appoint the one with the nice hair, he will fook up big time......tarra  the nameless one will step back into the breach.

This reads like a Wenger out fan fiction. Stop making excuses for the board and pinning EVERYTHING on a man who has left the club.

Unless you really think he'll be calling shots from abroad while managing another club?

Funny forum, needed opinions but got a bunch of crappy fake news... good luck to the next manager even if it be the dream catcher

Damn, just realised that if Arteta takes over, for the first time ever, the Arsenal manager will be younger than myself. Christ, that will make me feel old.

Pandering around isn’t going to help anyone, especially the club.

This .... even if he's not first choice we need a manger now .... let's not blow another transfer window / pre-season by pissing about on an appointment that we've know was coming for the last five years ....

Well not so much transfers.

Misinslat is in charge of transfers now.

For those against Arteta I suppose the only good thing about AFC not announcing it means they're obviously still canvasing other options.

I’m glad Sven is running transfers, but how many players will want to move to a club not knowing who the manager is?

................ they all know who the next manager is, as do we if we're being honest.

Arteta will be announced within a fortnight.

Former player, Not even a club legend but the worst captain in living memory, did f**k all as a player, f**k all as a manager, zero drawing power, already dividing the fanbase. TERRIBLE APPOINTMENT if true.

The good thing with Arteta I guess is that he hasnt got the credit in the bank like Wenger did, one or two poor seasons and he'll be out and we can get a proper manager. He is going to be the Bruce Rioch, it will be one or two more wasted seasons that will see us further down to the road of being a has been club like forest and villa. The mess left by Wenger is going to take years and maybe a few managers to sort out, but if we appointed an Allegri now (for example), then I would be confident that in 2 years time we would be a lot closer to getting back to the level that a club of our size should be.

Bottom line is some people are happy to settle for second best and others are not

I know which camp of those two I'm in.

The fact that even Everton are not going for Arteta but we are speaks volumes about the ambition of this board and certain 'fans'

It's an interesting point that neither Everton or Rangers went for him
