Bottom line is some people are happy to settle for second best and others are not

I know which camp of those two I'm in.

Can't wait for San Mikel to serve humble pies Oprah-style to mofos.

Anyway, there are whispers that Arteta could make Xabi Alonso his assistant. Time to make Xhaka world class :)

Not thrilled with it but if it’s going to be Arteta, then go ahead and get it over with so we can move on.

Pandering around isn’t going to help anyone, especially the club.

This .... even if he's not first choice we need a manger now .... let's not blow another transfer window / pre-season by pissing about on an appointment that we've know was coming for the last five years ....

Well not so much transfers.

Misinslat is in charge of transfers now.

For those against Arteta I suppose the only good thing about AFC not announcing it means they're obviously still canvasing other options.

If Alonso came too. That would be more exciting. Add that mentality we lack.

I hope arteta brings in some backroom staff with a bit of clout. I’m warming to the idea of Arteta (mainly cos I don’t have a choice and it can’t be worse than the status quo we had before). I just hope he really steps up!

I’m encouraged about articles I’ve read about the squad thinking he’s arrogant. You need that as a manager.

As a player my issue was he was a forward thinking player in a defensive position. If he brings in a few battlers and gives the players a kick up the arsenal then great!

Don't know why people say this. It can always get worse.

That said, I think Arteta will be a breath of fresh air (i.e., he'll take us forward, not backward).

Considering Arteta already beat Wenger on his own, I think it's likely to get better

I can't see Arteta being a success at all, it will be one major disappointment if after all the shite getting rid of the nameless one only to be handed a manager with NO managerial experience. Fook what a forward thinking board we have.
