I think the most important thing is not conceading a goal at the Emirates, we can't afford to let them get the away goal no matter what even if it ends 0-0 it's better than us winning 2-1/3-1 and going over to their ground and risking a 1/2 nil loss which will f**k us over on away goals.

Christ, bunch of wet farts in here. We had to play them at some point in all likelihood and now we get 2 legs to beat them rather than a 1 off where we could be asleep.

They will be tough but they're not as good as people are making out hence they came third in their group behind Chelsea and Roma. We could beat both of those and people would be less scared so why so scared of Atletico? It'll be hard to score and no away goal for them will be important but let's not expect to lose ffs.

Slightly worrying how you have to go back to their form of pre Xmas to try and prove we can beat them now when they are not in that shit form whereas we have been shit all season.

Can we beat them? Yes. Need everything to go right and on any given day anyone can beat anyone as proven when City got humiliated by a Wigan side who hadn't won a game in years. Will we win? Unlikely.

But it's our biggest game for years. All good and well winning cup finals but we've done that enough. Never won this trophy and only one European trophy for this club is pathetic. I'll be behind the boys in the Europa league as I have been all season.

Wrap lacazette in cotton wool for these games. Imagine welbeck v that defence. He'd be like an extra defender for them

Need to beat the best to be the best. No where to run. Players and the Manager ( maybe for the last time) need to show some character.

It's what would have been the old fairs cup and cup winners cup and we won both of those
If you are taking the Europa league in isolation it's hard to win something you have never been in
Wigan won at west brom the week before the cup final
They also won at Spurs that season

............. imagine if we win?

Final in France likely vs Marseille.

If we lose it will just be a rallying call that we need to get this squad sorted for 2019, focus on our league position and hopefully end Wenger's career, no point in being in the CL until we get this team up to standard.

I would have been pretty upbeat with Auba + Mkhi + Ozil leading the line.

Even with our shambolic defense.
