How/why not good enough? He has 3 goals and an assist in 6 league games this season, whats wrong with that?

Less than a goal every two games is poor for a striker at the highest level.

Mate your maffs is iffy !!

3 goals in 6 premier league games us not less than a goal every 2 games, it is exactly a goal every 2 games.

Phew. Thanks for pointing that out. Makes me feel so much better about him.

1 in 2 is a top rate for a striker.

As for the 'offside if it weren't for the Leicester defender',
Not surprised you don't understand the rules of the game.
He was onside and remained so when our player, Jesus, struck the ball.
He even held his run to make sure he stayed onside.

After Jesus' shot, If the Leicester player does not try to clear it from the keepers save, then we score anyway. Sterling has an empty net.

The attempts to minimise the majority of Havertz goals - by Arsenal fans supposedly - is mad.
Smacks of bitterness, which is an odd emotion for Arsenal fans to have when an Arsenal players scores.

The weird part is why some so called fans are desperate to hype up a Chelsea player who scored as little as 13 goals for us last season leading to zero trophies. Even going so far as to claim he was one of the world’s best players in 2024. Strange how they try to run down fans who want the club to win.

He's not a Chelsea player , He's an Arsenal player.
And yes, in 2024 he's been one of the worlds best players.
Your bitterness doesn't change any of that.
You made your own bed with the ridiculous criticism before he'd even kicked a ball and now he puts you in your place every week it seems.

Havertz is just a new Elneny . yes, he's not a CM. but the point is that he's just a player who can do a job and be an asset and not a liability.
Havertz is a mid baller, and he only starts for Germany since they have no elite strikers right now. No players on the level of Klinsmann, Muller, Gotze or Klose. He's just turned fans' minds around from "he's shit!" to "Ok, he can do a job and not f**k things up".

Speak for yourself
The shit to mid story is for those who made idiots of themselves when he signed.

Few players have been better in 2024 that Havertz.

he was crap at Chelsea. We have signed many dead Chelsea players over the past several years. The antipathy towards him was justified. And at £60m he's one of our most expensive signings ever.

I credit him for his contributions sicne the beginning of this calendar year. But he's just gone from being shit to mid in my honest opinion. Even though he could well be our top scorer this season, or at least get more than 20 goals in all comps. And he could well score tonight too.

Water under the bridge now anyway - most of those that went OTT have walked away from that, so all good.

5 goals and an assist already this season.
6 goal contributions and his general play is excellent. Hold up, touch, passing, movement.

As per Fabrizio Romano:

Kai Havertz: “Winning the Champions League is a nice feeling… but it would be even nicer if I can do it with Arsenal!”.

“It would mean a lot more”.

Still performed at BVB and Bayern. Way better than Havertz has ever been.

Gotze????

His best ever season yielded a whopping 10 league goals

He dined off scoring the winning goal in the World Cup for a while. Not fit to lace Havertz' laces let alone be compared to him !

So let me get this straight, he could bang in a load of goals for us this season but according to you he would still be average/mediocre?!!

The hate is strong.

A goal in 6 consecutive games at the home.
First Arsenal player to do that for 70 years or so according to the commentator.

Simply, if Goetze were any good, he would have featured regularly in an pretty average German team since 2015, but he just disappeared. Poor form and injuries dented his career.
Havertz have been a regular for 3-4 yrs, for Germany. He does have qualities.Credit where it is due. Some trolls on this site bad mouths almost every Arsenal player at the slightest opportunity. Quite ridiculous how this is allowed to continue.

Those are not serious people.

For Havertz he has now put in almost a year of world class form.
Arteta seems to have unlocked his potential from when he was regarded as a generational talent in Germany and one of, if not the biggest, young talents in the world of football.
He needs to continue it. In fact, he needs to build even further on it.
I think he can get 25-30 goal contributions this season.
Had 21 last year.

Leave the world class crap out and you may get people to agree.
He ain't world class.
But he ain't total crap.
He is a confidence player and he is decent atm I wouldn't class him better than Wright or Smith and they were not world class but they were top notch performers
