His numbers were excellent for Leicester, would have been a decent squad player.

How/why not good enough? He has 3 goals and an assist in 6 league games this season, whats wrong with that?

Less than a goal every two games is poor for a striker at the highest level.

Mate your maffs is iffy !!

3 goals in 6 premier league games us not less than a goal every 2 games, it is exactly a goal every 2 games.

Phew. Thanks for pointing that out. Makes me feel so much better about him.

1 in 2 is a top rate for a striker.

As for the 'offside if it weren't for the Leicester defender',
Not surprised you don't understand the rules of the game.
He was onside and remained so when our player, Jesus, struck the ball.
He even held his run to make sure he stayed onside.

After Jesus' shot, If the Leicester player does not try to clear it from the keepers save, then we score anyway. Sterling has an empty net.

The attempts to minimise the majority of Havertz goals - by Arsenal fans supposedly - is mad.
Smacks of bitterness, which is an odd emotion for Arsenal fans to have when an Arsenal players scores.

Over Havertz? We'd all take Maddison. But he plays Odegaard position. Odegaard wins

The weird part is why some so called fans are desperate to hype up a Chelsea player who scored as little as 13 goals for us last season leading to zero trophies. Even going so far as to claim he was one of the world’s best players in 2024. Strange how they try to run down fans who want the club to win.

I kind of rate havertz. he may not have any real discerable strengths, but he's proven he can do a job in the team and not be a liability. He's a german Fellaini at this point.

No discernible strengths?? He is very good at holding up the ball and linking up play, he is a good outlet, he does a lot of selfless running.

He should not be getting any criticism at all, he is arguably one of our most important players, without him up top we are f***ked.

Yep, no discernable strengths. OK, he can head, and shithouse and buy fouls. big deal. He's just proving he can add SOME value. and we played £60m for that. I will continue to criticise him.
Jesus can hold the ball up, has pace, and is a good finisher. He isn't even it for the long-term but offers way more than Havertz.

Bro are you having a laugh?? Jesus is f***ing terrible at holding up the ball, all he does is throw himself to the ground looking for free kicks that never come.

I never even said heading, don't think he is especially good at that especially given his height.

I said he has great link up play and he also has great close control in tight situations. Not to mention what someone else mentioned about making great runs.

But you carry on hating if it makes you feel better, the rest of us will enjoy his gameplay.

Jesus is better overall, but can't score much. Havertz is just proving he's not a liability. Some good form towards the end of the last season and being our top scorer this season doesn't mean he's some elite baller. Havertz has no "great play" at all.

He's not a Chelsea player , He's an Arsenal player.
And yes, in 2024 he's been one of the worlds best players.
Your bitterness doesn't change any of that.
You made your own bed with the ridiculous criticism before he'd even kicked a ball and now he puts you in your place every week it seems.

I think thAt was the perfect storm. Actually watching his game recently and seeing what he does and his weird technique kicking the ball (the way he drags his back leg/foot - seems like he is being exag to look good technically - you might do it for a long range pass but he does it for short passes too), I don't rate him.

We wouldn't have challenged for the league last season if we took Maddison over Havertz.

In any case, he got 7 goals and 9 assists for Spurs last season, his best numbers were 12 goals and 8 assists, for Leicester. For comparison Declan Rice got 7 goals and 9 assists for us last season and he was predominantly a DM !!

I'm with Jay on this !!

Include context and you will see he played CF for us from Feb 2024, his numbers from Feb 2024 until the end of the season were top level numbers in ANYONE's book. Tack on what he did at the World Cup and has done for us thus far its easy to say that Havertz has been one of the best performers in the calendar year of 2024 ! And I am not just talking goals/assists I am talking standard of general gameplay, it went up and stayed high.

Havertz is just a new Elneny . yes, he's not a CM. but the point is that he's just a player who can do a job and be an asset and not a liability.
Havertz is a mid baller, and he only starts for Germany since they have no elite strikers right now. No players on the level of Klinsmann, Muller, Gotze or Klose. He's just turned fans' minds around from "he's shit!" to "Ok, he can do a job and not f**k things up".

Speak for yourself
The shit to mid story is for those who made idiots of themselves when he signed.

Few players have been better in 2024 that Havertz.
