We need a striker, but has to be a really good one.
Once Saka is back and Odegaard, Nwaneri, Havertz, Martinelli, all start chipping in, aided by the full backs ( White, Timber, Skelly, Califiori) who're equally potent, there'll be competition. We're not going to go a different route just because of one striker. We're going to spread the goals , and that's what makes us potent. So, the , the striker essentially will be another tool in creating goals. Another complete footballer like Henry or Bergkamp. Can do many other things also, other than scoring.
That's what Adams and Wrighty were discussing today.

100% agree if Ode hadn't put that away and he was under pressure from the defenders block, the conversation would have been interesting

beating City 5-1 just means that a massive problem we know is there is exposed even more.
or is the common view amongst Gooners and rivals alike about us needing a striker is false?

Sure , we all know his limitations and most if not all of us want someone else

My point however was we just smashed City 5-1 , should be focusing on the positives of that and not on bashing Havertz

Time and place

Bro, have you not been watching Havertz this season?!! His finishing has been terrible !!

He showed bottle to take on the shot that he scored from, could've gone into his shell but he never hid, that should be taken into account.

I'm happy we won. But doesn't mean the issues we know are self-evident were glaring again, even though we battered them. It's worthy of being called out.

The finish for his goal was excellent. and yes,he is posting record goals in ENgland this season. but then h's NOT IT. He can be praised on one level and critiqued on another.

Missing that first goal was criminal, the 2nd was a good finish.

As HH said in the match thread my issue with Kai is he always seems to score when we've practically won the game, when it's deadlock breaking chances he fluffs them.

If he can start scoring some game changing chances he'll be a good CF option along with whoever we get in summer.

Had a decent game other than the miss.

this is the havertz thread. he scored a good goal, which I acknowledged. but he missed a sitter and even though we battered City we still need a good number 9. Henry himself on Sky, that minor player in our history, said that nearly verbatim.

He has got 15 goals in all comps right now, which is more than he's ever got in ENgland. his goals to game ratio is just over 1:2 which is near his Bundesliga.

So he’s broken his own record ????
