Give him a break guys, he just came back from a long term injury. Reality is that he's a tap in merchant, his numbers will be low unless we are creating a bunch of chances.

players have to take their chances to win things

Arteta is the manager, the buck stops with him. He bought Sterling, he played Odegaard while woefully out of form, he didn't buy a CF, its all on the manager, but those that have their lips wrapped around his cock won't see this and can't criticise him.

As soon as he started falling to the floor with the most minimal contact I thought to myself "buy a f***ing striker" !

The guy is a complete waste of space, Chelski were laughing all the way to the bank when the N00b known as Arteta bought him.

I agree, he stood in for Jesus sure but.........

I'm getting fed up of watching this guy struggling to be a proper CF every game.

Let's quit it with the round pegs in square holes routine.

the mofo is mid. but then had he been fit, he may well have got over 20 goals in all comps. He was on that trajectory pre-injury. COuld those goals have helped us wevn win the CL, or push Liveprool closer in the league? We'll never know.

No, because he is shit in decisive moments, his conversion rate is poor. All well and good scoring a couple when we are already 2-0, not the same to score and break the deadlock with your only chance of the first half, for example.

100% this and we have several players in the same category, but your leading the line striker must be ruthless in front of goal.

20 goals in all comps is far from enough considering players are making ~50 appearances a season now. You could get that with any of Mbuemo, Wissa or Mateta and they are playing fewer games with no European football.

Giroud was hitting 24 goals in all comps a decade ago. Alexis and Auba had 30+ in their best seasons. That's the level we need, not this "non-negotiables except for Havertz" bullshit.

What do you think Arteta's "non-negotiables" are?

Which one of these non-negotiables do not apply for our top scorer?
