Now I am not saying we can be world beaters, but with the right system we should be better than we currently are.

Wenger was shit. Emery was shit. Ljungberg was shit. I dont count any of them as decent managers. Arteta seems to have something but I am reserving judgement for now.

Fabinho ain’t average nor is Henderson or Gino. All of them faster than our midfielders and they are smart players. Xhaka is not smart, torreira is a midget and gunny is a kid. Come on now surely you don’t think player for player they are same level

Mate Fabinho is pants, Henderson has an engine and Wijnaldum is pants I don't rate any of them, the most flair-less midfield in the Premier League, probably. Alexander Arnold is good going forward and shit defending, the only good CB they have is VVD. Firmino is average at best. Lallana is wank and we sold Ox because he was mediocre - and still is. Keita is meh.

So they have only 1 good player in vvd and still like 38574 points ahead of the rest?

Mate the most are not world beaters, but still some very very solid players in there.

Their kids dominated us in the cup lool. The cl champions and by far best team in England has same level of midfield as us. You can’t make this up. We have teams like Brighton and palace come to our ground and dominate our midfield. But it’s all tactics I guess

No, their good players that I would say are Arsenal quality are Alisson (no better than Leno), Robertson, VVD, Mane and Salah. I would take Alexander Arnold but only because our RB is a bit shit - but AA is NOTHING special. Henderson has a great engine but again wouldn't get anywhere near a place in any of our past decent teams, neither would Keita, Oxo or Wijnaldum who is fookin shite - just chips in with a few goals recently.

You can rate them as much as you want, how many of that team would get into the Man City team?! Most of them wouldn't because they are not good enough. Just because we are shit now doesnt mean we should keep our ambitions low.

past teams, you do know this team was about to break PL record in terms of points and their players wouldnt get in our past barely top 4 teams lool. Our players are not solid, very very solid players are top players. If you are giving 8-10 performances very week, you are top class player

Tbh I think it’s hard to get your head round and there’s probably some underrating going on but I largely agree with hothead. This Liverpool team is not a classic side full of top quality players but it’s one with a top quality system and players who work hard every single game.

I think they have 4 players who you’d call world class in this modern era, however comparing to previous years I’d give them two (VVD & Alisson). Robertson and Salah are the other two. After that they’ve got very good players in Mane, Firmino and Trent who are supplemented by the hard workers such as Henderson, gini, ox, Fabinho etc, but would you have any of those playing in a PL classic side? Over the likes of Keane, vieira and Gerrard? Would you f**k.

This Liverpool team is doing something very different at a time where all other teams are still trying to play the Barca way and failing. Liverpool are very good but they’re also capitalising on others failing this season in particular and the confidence they have is getting them through a lot of games. If they break the points record (thanks corona) then well done to them but I wouldn’t count them as the best PL side ever, maybe not even top 5.

Klopptic.

Top class managers build a greater whole from the sum of its parts.

Liverpool do have a plethora of world class players: Alisson, van Dijk, Robertson, Mane, Firmino, Salah. That's around six world class players. TAA is arguable as he's phenomenal going forward, meh defensively.

Their midfield isn't great. But they do great things as a unit.

They don't have a shabby side. Klopp obviously brings the best out of them.

Santi, exactly that. Compare the individuals in this Liverpool team to either of our double winning sides, any of Fergie's decent title winning sides or Mourinho's Chelsea winning side and this Liverpool team gets spanked for fun if it was Top Trumps.

Thats the point I am making, individually they are nothing special mostly but Klopp's system and, lets face it, having Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal all in turmoil has helped Liverpool this season.

Ya know something? Man City's first PL-winning side, under Mancini, was miles better than this current Liverpool side. Aguero, Tevez, Toure, Silva, Kompany, Zabaleta, Nasri—arguably all of them world class. Then, you had great poacher like Dzeko, a utility player like Milner, and a maverick like Balotelli.

Thinking about it, either Pep destroyed the competition in that Centurion season, or Klopp is some ingenious coach.

But there's a worrying trend in the Premier League, nonetheless. The last five Champions, save for Leicester:

- Chelsea ~ 87 points
- Chelsea ~ 93 points
- Man City ~ 100 points
- Man City ~ 98 points
- Liverpool ~ 100+ points*

* Hypothetical

It's interesting that even 85 points isn't enough for the League these days. You have to notch around 90 points. The notion that anything can happen in the Premier League is long gone.

85 points was a lock for the title at one point. Today, it's not enough. This isn't to do with the quality at the top, but how lesser teams are less likely to beat big clubs these days.

someone said their midfield isnt all that, they are just stronger and faster than our midfielders. So they win their 50/50s against us, run past us and when we try to run past them they catch us cause they are quicker than us. Other than that no difference.
