f**k yes.

Now Torreira can stay back all game while Ceballos does his thing as a B2B.

Even if it's only for a season, y'all are gonna be glad we had him.

Also, everyone can finally breathe a sigh of relief about Ozil. If Emery wants his preferred 4-2-3-1 the majority of the time, he can now do so in the style he desires. Ceballos can easily slot in to be the hardworking 10 Emery likes while Torreira and Xhaka/Guendouzi man the base.

Leno
Bellerin - Sokratis - Holding - Monreal
Torreira - Xhaka
Auba - Ceballos - Iwobi
Lacazette

Upgrade LB and LW (Xhaka too but that may have to wait), and we shouldn't have a difficult time making top four.

He does well, weve got no chance but benefit from his ability.

He does so so and at least we arent committed to buying.

Not the worst deal tbf but itll be a shame to watch him walk out if he smashes it.

Imagine if he kills it for us this coming season, then Real don't want him, which ends up bringing Man City into the equation with a £50m bid.

Would be classic Arsenal. :hiding:

Kovacic at Chelsea was a loan that turned into a purchase, and he was pretty shit. Rumours are that Real will bid for Mbappe next summer, so they might need to sell Ceballos and others to make the math work.

If Ceballos comes to Arsenal and has a big season, we're not going to be in the running to sign him because we'll get priced out.

Flo Perez has apparently promised talks between the two clubs at the end of his loan spell

I would have thought we'd agree on a price before agreeing to a loan. Avoids a situation where Real can jack up the price if he has a good season for us.

Who cares, we’ve got a good player on loan and will be in pole position to buy should he have a good season. RM are still keen to see him work out there, hence the lack of option. Seems like they’ll either keep him or we’ll buy him next year.

I'm extremely happy with this because it gives our midfield the technical skill it was badly lacking last season. Ceballos is a dribbler and passer, different to Ramsey and more what we need to make a proper 433 work, which I hope is the goal (in the vein of liverpool and City, rather than 4231).

This could genuinely be the best bit of business we do this year.

Emery described him as a number 8 or a number 10 so both.

Think it depends on what system Emery wants to play on his exact role but either way I see him starting ahead of Ozil with any two of Xhaka, Torreira and Geundouzi being the other midfielders with Willock as an option on the bench.

So we don't resign Ramsey just to get an inferior version on loan? I don't even like Ramsey ffs

Think we're done with this, not how I want us to do business but needs must ...

The Don now has his front six .... down to him to use them to the best of their ability ... everyone gets a clean slate let's see who stands up to be counted.

Let's get in a couple more decent defenders .... and then were ready to go
