All depends on what Real Madrid want for Ceballos but he's working hard. 5 tackles, 6 interceptions and regaining the ball 14 times is something to pay attention to.

I don't think we should spend what money we'll have on him, think we can find a more suitable players for our needs. About time he got some games though, otherwise this loan would be a complete waste of money.

He is also mediocre ; tad better than Xhaka and Iwobi. Haven't shown much inclinations towards scoring goals; is slow but ok w/ keeping the ball and short interchanging passes. Needs to improve on final balls..so wouldn't matter much if he goes. But we need an upgrade on him in summer, for sure.

He's a good CM but its true for what RM will want for him we could buy someone else cheaper, may not be as good at ball retention but there's some out there.

I think ManCity will not be able to hold on to their array of midfielders w/o CL. David Silva ( out of contract) might be a good target for us. Should have couple more years in him. Other one could be Riyad Mahrez. We tried to get him before. Should raid MC when waters are muddy. They built their success out of us.

Think we need a more skilful midfielder who can dribble, run with the ball to give us more drive and help open up defences. These slow moving, passing midfielders really slow down our play and make us easy to defend against.

As for Silva zero chance of getting him, likewise Maureen, that ship has sailed and he’d cost too much.

According to the Sun etc Real Madrid want £36m from us to sign him.

I think that's not too bad, we paid that for Xhaka and I rate Cebellos more than Xhaka.

I think we could do better but we could certainly do worse for that price, I thought Real would demand £45m at least or even £50m.

Especially if we can beat them down to £32m I think that's actually a very decent price.

He's not worth that much at all. We'll have opportunity to sign couple of ManCity midfielders this summer. Some are out of contract and some'll look for European football. We should concentrate on securing them or anyone as good as them. Think we can find quite a few bargains in this time of turmoil.

Don't know. £40m is like the new £10m so in old market terms, Ceballos would warrant around £12m.

£40-45m isn't astronomical.

I wouldn't go beyond £30m though. We simply don't have the money.

You keep saying that City players will be looking to leave for European football, what on earth makes you think any of them will come to Arsenal, what do we have that would make them leave City, Pep and far higher wages??
