He reminds me more of a Jack Wilshere replacement than a Ozil replacement.

Real Madrid are holding out for £30m for Dani Ceballos after Arsenal offered £26m for the 23-year-old midfielder, currently on loan at Emirates Stadium. (Eldesmarque - via Metro)

Pretty low price if you ask me given his contract expires in 2023.

I don't think he's a 30 million player based on what I've seen. He's a squad player at best.

All depends on salary, RM wanted the salary off the books plus value for one season ... they valued him at 45m, so we then paid 15m for one year and will now have to pay 30m for the rest of his contract .... so 45m .... that's fair enough ... however if as he reported he wants 120k a week then on a five year deal that's another 30m so we will have invested 75m on a player who frankly doesn't look like worth a 75m investment.

Yeah....he’s been disappointing since that first game, much like Pepe. It’s like the oppo study those games and work out how to neutralise them....and then do!

Good point. I didn’t realize we were paying 15 mil for a loan. 15 years ago 15 mil would have bought you a Cristiano Ronaldo on a five year deal with money to spare. Football world gone crazy.

I think he’s an excellent player and worthy of £30m, it’s just that the team is so inconsistent atm, he’s having to adapt to different personnel and setups each game.

He needs to bulk up a bit and hopefully, get some consistency in his game. Unai actually settling on a team would help him no end.

What are you talking about?

He's the best CM at the club, best ball carrying and can operate centrally and advanced.

He only has to work on his final ball a bit more in goals and assists and he'll be amazing.

Its just without that end product (like Pepe) it looks worse than it is.

Pepe is the same, he's a few goals away from looking like a great player, same as Cebellos, their actual ball to feet skills are top level.

£30m for a 23yo mid is a steal. He'll improve with time.

That's a fair price. At that price you can always sell him later and recoup that and more.
