Because we'd get over-run in midfield. It'd be back to the days of Wenger trying to field an entire team of #10s

Home games vs shite it’s class

Ceballos ain’t even a 10

We didn't get overrun in midfield when Wenger was doing that, we had way more control than we've ever had under Emery with his overly defensive midfield that always rolls over.

Ceballos has played as the deepest midfielder on occasion. He's no 10 at all. Torreira is a pure DM.

Long way to go. Need to see some consistency and scoring ability.

Ceballos has showed that he works real hard. I don't see it as an issue.

Anything to get Xhaka out of the team, although I don't see how you bench Douzi! So really I'd like to see him where Ceballos is and Ceballos where Ozil is.
I thought he looked rubbish in defensive areas vs Liverpool.

Because our idiot manager played him in a diamond and he got dragged wide trying to intercept Liverpool’s full back.

Won't happen. Makes far too much sense to regularly play our best CMs together in a midfield three.

So by playing non-FIFA football, we're tearing the League apart?

That midfield will get torn apart against any decent team.

I think people overestimate torreiras defensive abilities a bit. He has a good engine but wouldnt really call him a good ball winner.

Not that I’m advocating for that midfield, but I think you’re selling Torreira a bit short. Him, Ceballos, Guendouzi.

Once Holding is fit it has to be this imo:

Laca
Auba------Pepe
Ceballos-???
Luiz
Tierney-Sokratis-Holding-Bellerin
Leno

With Torreira and Guendouzi fighting it out for that midfield place next to Dani.

I was going to put torreira, guendouzi and xhaka competing for the midfield spot but couldn't be arsed with the arguments :hiding:

He was pretty bad today.

He dwells on the ball too much.

Needs to see the pass early and move the ball.

He is learning that you dont have much time on the ball in the PL, which he likes to do.
