Tbf Ceballos problems have never been defensive in nature, his defensive numbers are better then any other CM in the team including, Guendouzi's, and Torreira's. We just needed to play him deeper and let him adjust to the league and Arteta has done the rest. The improvement we need to see is creatively, his workrate his amazing and he's improved.

I was sad when Ramsey left but Caballos has really been a good replacement, they’re different type of midfielders though Ramsey is more B2B and where as Dani is more DLP the two of them together with a world class CDM would have been phenomenal oh if only

Anyways do whatever it takes to sign this man don’t think Madrid even want him and he clearly loves the club so I don’t see why not 30M is a bargain even if the fee was 60M that would still be reasonable

Dani is a proper CM. Ramsey was B2B but he played like a floating second striker.

Ramsey was a CF/RW/Corner flag holder

f***ing useless playing him in CM. Ceballos is levels above and he's not even that amazing.

Aaron Ramsey aka "The Drought Killer" 2008-2019

Ceballos had a much better post Corona season when playing further back... If he can continue that form he's worth a shot. Has a lot to prove still and not sure about Real's asking price. i wouldn't loan him again.
His main flaw which puts him below the top level is that he doesn't seem to have a picture of what is around him when he recieves the ball. He hangs onto it for too long and can cause us problems when he's dispossessed. If he can learn to play more with his head up, he could be really good for us.

Real Madrid are keen to keep Dani Ceballos at the club after returning from his season-long loan spell at Arsenal, reports AS.

With Martin Odegaard also set to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid have apparently changed tack after their elimination from the Champions League.

It had previously seemed likely that Ceballos would return to Arsenal, possibly on a permanent basis.

We need two beasts of the petit/vieira mode imo. Partey and Doucoure would be my aim. Ceballos is good but he needs a back five behind him to thrive and that does not appear to be the plan!

Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???

In absence of Dani, pursuit for Coutinho will gain momentum. My choice of midfield would be :
Willian Luiz Coutinho ;
With Saka Laca and Auba, ahead of them.

Did a great job while he was here, in spite of his limitations and the injury early in the season. Deserves to get game time at Real.
