How so, if Torreira/Xhaka is working then surely Torreira/Ceballos - Ceballos being a million times better on the ball than Xhaka - would work even more??

I think playing Torreira in his preferred position as Arteta has done is the key to making the pairings work.

Because as wreckless as he can be xhake does try and win the ball back. You can't have eleven players who are good on the ball but don't attempt to do the dirty work. From what I've seen of ceballos (bar one game) we might as well play ozil there. Neither put in the work needed. Xhaka may be a bit clumsy but he works hard.

Under Arteta there are no passengers. Whoever plays has to defend hard as well. Also, Ceballos works to win the ball back but it's more so a question of strength and height. If he plays, he will track back to defend and the reason he has looked bad under Emery comes back to us lacking a structure.

Complete knee-jerk post this. Absolute hogwash, man.. Ceballos may still change our minds but Kallstrom and Suarez were equally pathetic acquisitions... At least in the case of Suarez there is the unknown of potential. With Kallstrom we knew exactly what we were getting.

Ceballos came to Arsenal because Emery wanted a creative midfielder. We couldn't afford to sign anyone on a permanent basis thanks to Ozil's ludicrous contract so we brought Ceballos in on a loan deal. Seeing as he's unlikely to have impressed Real Madrid, we may be able to sign him next summer.

If the asking price is anything more than £10m, we should just forget about it. We'll have next to nothing to spend in the summer, and we sure as hell shouldn't spend much of the little we have on Ceballos.

Xhaka is a coward who is picking a paycheck up every week without any effort on his part. Ozil works harder than Xhaka tbh.

Wilshere left under Wenger's watch, Cazorla was injured so we let him go and Ramsey's contract entered his final 12 months under Wenger because Wenger let him run down his contract.

Wenger single handedly tried to ruin this club and unlike Emery was actually in charge of transfers.
