Loans with an option to buy at a set price are good. If he's rubbish we just send him back. If he's good his price isn't inflated.

Or just that our scouts do their damn job and only get good players

He’s excellent from what I’ve seen. Good ball progresser and a great dribbler, something where we lack in midfield

Wouldn’t mind just a loan, a convenient stop gap which should help us get CL football and purchase a player properly once we have money

If it doesn't have option to buy then all we'll be doing is pumping him up for a big sale to somewhere else if he shines.

He wants to return to Madrid anyway. He just wants regular football for a year, and we can easily offer it.
Even if it's only a loan, he's worth it as Sims said.

Makes sense if you consider the sale of Kovacic to Chelsea, as well as the fact that Kroos and Modrić aren't getting any younger.

If the out of favor Ísco and James are also sold before 2020/21, that'd leave just him, Casemiro, Valverde as mifdield options who are on the right side of 30.

Alright, Lucas Silva might also still be around, but let's be honest, that guy would probably not even be a starter for Sheffield Utd.

He could be the difference between EL football and CL football

He wants to stay at Madrid and try to establish a career now

We’d be stupid not to get a player of his quality in a dire position we need to fix but can’t prioritise funds to on loan

Who cares where he ends up in the future

Don't worry, Josh came out with a statement. Apparently everything is going to be fine soon and all our problems are going away.

This. We need a fix now and if we have no funds for a quality CM then I’d rather loan one. Need to fill in the gaps and that slot needs a talent we probably can’t afford.

possibly the best transfer we could make given our situation. 22yo, Liga experience with Real, not a major injury risk. slots into Ramsey's position, where we currently have a gaping hole.

Would quite possibly be our second best CM of this decade if he's up for it. After Santiago of course.

Not to say he's top draw. He isn't. But we've been so poor in that department for nearly a decade, it feels refreshing to have a CM who can actually play as a CM.

Then again, not exactly Unai's kind. Let's see how he uses him (Ceballos). Won't be surprised if he shoves him in the #10 role.
