4th option, which player takes it?

Postby DiamondGooner » Mon Feb 05, 2018 1:46 pm

Been a few conversations about Iwobi, Welbeck, Lacazette and Ramsey.

Now way I see it if we want to have Wilshere as a definite starter alongside a CDM and play the formation we've been playing so .....................

4-2-3-1

How do we balance it and get everyone on the pitch?

Now Lacazette is an option but I think if we're realistic Wenger is not going to go full r***rd on attack, he just won't do it and we all know it so after Ramsey's wonder show in the final 3rd I've been thinking ............

Or swap him and Ozil but I don't fancy Ramsey wide plus he's better going backwards, either way should Ramsey be put in the team ahead of Iwobi and Welbeck or would you choose one of the latter?

I'm just thinking if Ramsey is hell bent on going full Hollywood is there any point in playing him deep?

Lacazette.

More importantly your choice of keeper and defence look far better than the crap we have playing atm

Based off Wengers comments he made on Friday I think we will see a change in formation in the coming weeks. Probably after the Spurs game.

Welbeck and Iwobi will settle for a place on the bench. Ramsey will be competing with Jack for a place in the midfield.

4-4-2/4-2-2-2 in my opinion.

Difficult one but im glad ee have the choice instead of the opposite having Iwobi as a potential start up.

This would be my line up

AUBA

Lacazette Özil Mkhyi

Elneny Ramsey

Kolasinac Mustafi Kos Bellerin

Cech

The perfect solution is LAMO + Rasmey and Wilshere under the condition that Ramsey has a very clear understanding of his role in this formation:
A hard working B2B. He would be great if he make more runs and less touches.

Should be taken by merit, just like the other 10 places (which currently aren't). Wenger out.

Laca is the 4th option.

Ramsey and Wilshere can split time in CM spot as we all know neither one of the two can play long stretches without injury.

The depth chart should be as follows

Auba/Laca

Laca/Iwobi ---- Ozil/Ramsey ---- Mikhi/Wellback

El Neny/Xhaka ---- Wishere/Ramsey

Monreal/Kola ---- Mustafi/Chambers ---- Kos/Holding ---- Bellerin/AMN

Ospina/Cech

Laca won't start, but will probably come on at 70 mins, esp if we are behind.

Let's face it; starting both Aubameyang and Lacazette means we won't get the best out of both of them. I doubt we'll get a two-striker system to work with our squad either. One of the big money strikers will unfortunately have to warm the bench.

Who will fill the vacant slot? It's a toss up between Iwobi and Welbeck.
