Wenger is gone though so clean slate.

That's it, let's send him packing folks. The kid is shit.

Tbf my record on players is exceptional.

Anyway clean slate for this dude

I haven't studied your record on this but I give you the benefit of the doubt.

Care to explain why you think he won't come good?

Never said he won't come good. Said he looked shit for my first look at him.

In the pub last night, I got talking with a friend of a friend who was a Man United fan, so the topic of conversation was the injury to Danny Welbeck.

However, he soon wanted to know what we had done with the young Greek defender he'd seen at Old Trafford absolutely dominating Lukaku to the point he thought he was watching a BDSM session minus the whips, chains and paddles, whilst his mate was apparently trying to ring the anti-bullying helpline.

His biggest compliment was that the performance reminded him of BOTH Vidic and Ferdinand, and that another person near them whilst disgruntled with the big Belgian, recognised the superb performance of the young defender enough to quip that the only thing their striker had left on the pitch after being taken off was a chalk outline.

I haven't laughed or felt so good about football in a long, long time.

It did make me wonder though how at a glance Man U fans were able to acknowledge how good Mavropanos is, but then I remembered the hype surrounding their young striker Machida (not sure of the spelling).

^ Difference is United fans were always going to be biased with Macheda, but have no reason to be biased about Dinos unless they're Greek. While this is just the assessment from one outsider, it's still encouraging to hear as it echoes what us, biased gooners, also noticed.

He’s been out with a groin injury since the start of the season, still recovering from it now

If he performs better than Holding upon his return, that's a win in my book. Both guys are young and have room to improve. Would love to see him paired up with Sokratis.

Sevilla are keen to sign Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Greece U21 international, who only moved to the Emirates Stadium from PAS Giannina in January, has yet to feature for the Gunners this season due to a groin injury.

As a result new Arsenal boss Unai Emery has yet to see the defender in action, meaning Sevilla may have until at least the end of the season for a decision on his availability.
