I think between Luiz, Sokratis and Holding we have a decent CB showing till we sign a new younger one in one of the next window's.

We have one coming next summer anyway

I'd say he was partially at fault for the Burnley goal. It happens, but Luiz is kinda known for taking his eye off attacking players at the wrong time.

Once Holding returns, i'd like to see Luiz played in a DM role and replace Xhaka. Fine with him staying as CB now.

Aaah yes, its easy to forget about that and by all accounts he has massive potential, considering he looks good already, the future is bright.

Went for the cheap option again and you get what you pay for.

True. Holding should be starting when fit.

David Luiz was a fine signing especially for that price but he shouldn't have been the only CB signing (Saliba doesn't count) .

I think he’s fine tbh

If he didn’t get a yellow he would’ve cleaned Salah out for the third

The pull was stupid but Sokratis is also a VAR liability - if Matip didn’t score then they would’ve got a pen for his pull on VVD

The pair is more than good enough for top 4

He's on £150k a week tbh. £11.8m a year isn't really that cheap tbc.

For the same price we could have signed a player for £17.5m and given him wages of £60k a week.

My one big criticism for luiz would be
He needs to get to grips with VAR and sokratis as well we will give away loads of penalties if we keep pulling shirts out of the box go for gold

He's five years past his sell by date, the style of defender grabbing, holding, pulling may have been what won Leicester the EPL but it ended there ... Luiz is still playing that sort of football and he's just a liability. Won't matter in most games but against top strikers his inability to follow the laws of the game will cost us time after time ... and we all knew that when we signed him. Binned by Chelsea for peanuts, wouldn't get in the squad at any other top six side ... and yet he's our starting CB? that's a problem we need to fix, another one we created all by ourselves.

He's a stop gap until Saliba is ready imo.

Regarding the shirt pulling - I can be 100% certain that only a fraction of the shirt pulling incidents will be given as penalties.
The selective use of the laws of the game are still a major problem and a key component of cheating.
The really clever part of this form of cheating is that no one can deny that it was a penalty. All the cheats involved are in the clear.
