Never thought I'd be bemomaing his injury and him not being central to our defence.

His regeneration has been amazing tbh and we're so much stronger with him than without him.

Hurry back soon David

Always thought he was wasted as a CB. Too good a ball player not to play a DM.

Yup I still rate him as our best CB, probably will be overtaken quickly by Gabriel though.

Arteta should have subbed him earlier. Not only because of the bleeding, but he was clearly disturbed with Jimenez' condition.

The club should be fined for allowing him to play on like that. Irresponsible.

Why? If they followed the protocol and he was fine then why is it their fault?

Many players have played on after a bang to the head and with strapping. I mean should Cech have never played again? He could've died with any significant hit.

Don't get the fuss over him carrying on tbh, obviously at half time they decided it was better to take him off but many players have tried to play on only after a knock to come off later. No big deal.

If Luiz is behind the leaks, then it’s just another reason why we should never have signed Luiz in the first place. Just like cech and I believe Willian too, they will always be Chelsea at heart. If any opportunity comes up that is meant to progress Chelsea or us I’m sure each of them would rather choose the former. we’ve been and still are paying the price for being cheap in the transfer market.

Regarding the headline, I wouldn’t be surprised if the writer of that article is trying to tally up his readers. Despite the headline showing Arteta would destroy whoever’s behind the leaks, the body shows that Arteta said there will be consequences. Two completely different things IMO. I would be very surprised if Arteta did use the word “destroy”

Top performance from Luiz, quality passing from the back, handled Andy Carroll like a boss how we could have used him back in the Wenger days when big men used to bully us.

It’s criminal how underrated Luiz is here comfortably our best CB and never gets praise, rarely puts a foot wrong, real leader and a good player to have in the squad, we should be keeping him another season he can still play.

There are a few of us that rate him, but you are right, he gets criticised far too much. When Luiz has a top game he is world class, he is the one actual leader we have in the team, he is very good allegedly with the young players and he is a winner. He is the unofficial captain of the team.

I agree, he is our best CB, I have no problem with him starting every game.
