Not much he could do really if he doesn't try anything everyone slates him for giving up easy and with the foul maybe he gets away with a yellow unfortunately not today

There's always the chance that the ref won't see it as a clear scoring opportunity, and that the keeper will save the penalty.

Luiz had to try to stop him.

And great to see him behind the scenes right at the end on edge in front of the TV.

In hindsight he basically took one for the team although would of preferred him to have just run to the players left side and blocked off his vision of the goal or did a last second slide tackle.

The issue was he was running into the back of the player impeding his own progress to get to the side angle which was the danger, he was already pushing the player wide he should of just been on his hip until the player was about to shoot.

Funny thing is the narrative is "If we had 11 players we could of won" I think people have to remember the way we were playing with 11 men.
We were just passing it around the back and not getting any forward progress, it was rubbish, its only when we went to 10 men did we play the compact two lines of 4 and were able to get at Chelsea.

I'm not sure what would of happened had we had 11 men but from what I saw, it wasn't going to be any better than a draw that's for sure.

Yes this is true but the 25th minute is too early to even take a chance of getting yourself sent off.

In the end we got extremely lucky with a point so its all good

BREAKING NEWS

David Luiz’s brief spell at Arsenal could be coming to an end with the Brazilian out of contract next month and no negotiations over a new deal planned.

It was widely reported the Brazilian arrived in north London on a two-year deal, but Sky Sports News has learnt that agreement was only reached on an initial 12-month stay.

However, despite Luiz’s desire to stay at the Emirates, the player and the club are yet to discuss extending his stay – and the 33-year old could become a free agent on June 30th.

Luiz has continued to sing his manager’s praises even through lockdown, calling his time under Arteta “a dream come true,” and it’s understood he remains keen to extend his stay for at least one more campaign.

The club’s technical director, Edu is also desperate for his countryman to continue his time at the club, but for now at least, a deal looks some way off.

Fine by me. Really disappointed in his signing. Don't understand why he has a fan base here, he hasn't been good at CB at all.
