What'd classify as a successful season for Arsenal?

Simplez: what would be a successful season for you personally?

I'm not overly optimistic on our chances in the league. Top-4 is a fight, so we could forget about winning the league. The cups actually excite me more these days because we've shown that we could win. Of course, Europa League is the crown for me - for reasons I've mentioned before. It's a chance to create history. We've never won a UEFA-recognized UEFA Cup/EL/CL and our last European triumph was some 22/23 years ago. It's what I'm looking forward to most.

The League Cup ties would also be cool. If we make it to the SFs, we'd most likely be playing one of Chelsea, City, or United: two awesome games. And, of course, the FA Cup, which has lately become the Arsenal FA Cup.

So, for me, a most awesome season would entail us winning the Europa League. A successful season would be winning the FA Cup again with the League Cup as a sideshow.

I said Europa league as that would be amazing given we have lost our last 3 European finals. Honestly though I would be happy with top 4 because Ozil and Sanchez are leaving and with the shenanigans going on players will be reluctant to come to us anyway, so we need that CL football to make us more attractive.

At least the Europa League and top 4. Some would find the top 4 requirement redundant as winning the Europa League also gets us in the CL but the consistency required to achieve top 4 nowadays would be the true mark of our team's quality.

Okay, guys, let's not make this about Wenger. We already have multiple threads dedicated to him. This is strictly about Arsenal FC's on-field achievements for the season.

Not the option I would have voted for at the end of last season, but given how the club prepared for the season, any trophy (including the league cup) would be a successful season imo.

Tbh, a top 4 finish and nothing else would also be a successful season for me but we somehow have a better chance at winning a trophy than finishing in the top 4 this season, as crazy as that sounds


EDIT: Just to clarify, when I say top 4 or league cup would be a successful season, I mean it would be a success given what was made available to work with. it would be a failure with regards to personal expectations from the end of last season

Winning the Europa League would definitely make this a successful season.

Cup double would also suffice IF we make it in the top 3.
