The results are what matter most of all.
He isn't going to replace anyone at the moment - Eddie has 26 minutes - not like he's getting any significant time.
Balogun had a chance to impress in training, wasn't quite ready, so he will go out on loan.
He's not competing with Nketiah anymore - he's competing with Auba, Laca and Martinelli for 1 place (sometimes 2)
Good business signing him up to a deal because I think he might well be ready in a year or two.
Not sure what the issue is TBH.
Sounds like just more whining at everything for the sake of it.
Whilst I agree 26 minutes arent really worthy of whining about, its still 26 minutes I rather have a young prospect thats STAYING get than a player thats 1 foot out of the door.
But the 26 minutes were not to develop Nketiah or even to give him a chance of winning a place. It was specific to the game where we needed a goal to save points. Nketiah has form in that regard - he won a game for us and grabbed a point with last minute goals on two instances last year. That is all it was about. If you had to choose between the two to grab a late goal in a specific game, at this point tit would be Nketiah 100%.
In terms of Baloguns development I would hate that to be a few minutes here and there - it's setting him up for failure - just as Nketiah failed last year (he played something like 400 minutes all season in the PL over 17 games - hardly enough to stake a claim or build confidence).
I'd prefer Balogun to go on loan to a PL club and come back ready to play significant minutes - not have a few minutes to try and save points.
