I don't see a place for him, it should be Martinelli alongside Laca. Balogun cant hold up the ball like Laca and doesn't make runs like Martinelli

He’s a talent. You can’t compare him to either Laca or Martinelli because they are at different stages in their careers.

You have to compare him. The point was made about who to replace Auba with, the obvious options are Martinelli, Nketiah and Balogun. You then have to compare him with Laca to see if he could do the job Laca can do. The stage he is at in his career makes no difference, the ACON is around the corner, either he is ready/capable of coming in to do a job now or he isn't.

Nketiah is way ahead of Balogun in his development.
The only reason I say loan Balogun, instead of selling him, is that he might develop into a good option. Right now he is not close.

Arsenal Tone had it right - sell Nketiah, loan Balogun and get another striker in January either permanent or loan with option to buy.

We should use afcon to try our in house talent. Would rather see us give Azeez, Patino, Martinelli, Balogun a chance than buy from outside.

Ligue 1 side St. Etienne are the latest club to register their interest in Arsenal promise Folarin Balogun, reports the Sun.

The 20-year-old will have no shortage of suitors if he is allowed to go out on loan in January, as Middlesbrough, Swansea and Bournemouth are also reportedly keen on a short-term deal.

Would be a good move. Worked for Saliba who did well there

According to David Ornstein, Arsenal are planning to send Balogun out on loan in January.

So he signed a new deal and sat on his arse for half a season (U23 games notwithstanding), while Eddie gets actual PL minutes despite informing us that he's leaving no matter what.

Yeah ridiculous to be honest, he should be getting some minutes so he can improve and settle in.

If we weren’t going to play him we should have sent him on loan, this is just another case of Arteta making illogical decisions.

The results are what matter most of all.
He isn't going to replace anyone at the moment - Eddie has 26 minutes - not like he's getting any significant time.
Balogun had a chance to impress in training, wasn't quite ready, so he will go out on loan.
He's not competing with Nketiah anymore - he's competing with Auba, Laca and Martinelli for 1 place (sometimes 2)

Good business signing him up to a deal because I think he might well be ready in a year or two.

Not sure what the issue is TBH.

Sounds like just more whining at everything for the sake of it.
