If Alexis stays, he and Ozil can conjure up some magic in EL which might make the season worthwhile. Otherwise I think we've had a poor transfer window and will slip below Spurs for the 2nd year running. Liverpool, Chelsea and City have all made solid transfers.

I can't see Lacazette having more than an average season in his first year. Starting 18/19 he'll start coming good I think.

Prepare to be disappointed then. Wilshere will be like a new signing, Cazorla will be like a new signing in January, and Iwobi has great mental strength to do great things.

We have a lethal striker, a world class winger and a technically outstanding playmaker but sadly the rest of our team is painfully average as shown by last season.

As the team stands, not really.

We are most likely to finish 6th in the league with our current squad.

Last season finished with a whimper, which never fills you with confidence. Wenger's new contract was basically the board's way of saying that the status quo would suit them just fine. Lo and behold, the summer has gone as usual - having brought in a couple of signings, we've been dithering once again. With a week left until the start of the season, our squad is not ready. Same old Arsenal.

Looking at the two signings, I'm not convinced either can put us in the title race. Lacazette is a prolific goal scorer, but I'm not sure if he can adapt to the Premier League quickly. Furthermore, our problem has been that we haven't been able to create enough high-quality chances. Kolasinac looks the part, but our defense falls apart collectively due to poor organising, not lack of individual skill.

That being said, we're facing another massive struggle for top four yet again. When I look around us, I must say that we're looking the weakest out of all the top six teams. To make matters worse, I have a horrible feeling a North London based team will win it this season - and that team won't be us.

TL,DR; No, I am not excited for the new season.

The idea of Spurs winning the league may seem ludicrous for obvious reasons, but for the first time in 20 years I'm actually frightened of them. They are a very cohesive team capable of producing title-winning numbers. They're a lot bloody closer to the league than we are.

Oh come off it. If Spurs were to win the League, they'd have done it in the last two seasons. No club has more points total than Tottenham in same time period.

I'd back them to finish ahead of us again. Winning the League? I'd back us over Spurs because they simply can't do it. They failed to win the League with 86 points. The finished 3rd in a two-horse race. They got turned over in the SFs of the FA Cup.

Spurs will always remain a nearly there club.

Lol Spurs are a cup team that can't even do that right. Sure, there's a realistic chance they'll finish above us, but they're not winning the league when Pep and Mou will be going balls deep this season.

Im always excited for a new season. I was wondering if anyone on this site wanted to do a fantasy draft on fantrax? Fantasy sports is big here in North America and always wanted to set up a Premier league draft. Pm me if anyone's interested or I can make a new thread if thats allowed. If we get enough traction we can do one.

We have a better squad than Man Utd Spurs and Liverpool
If we finish sixth it's because we have been mismanaged
